France were shocking today, didn't get any good passes together, they can go home with their heads down.

I hate shortball (the spanish version of football) and I am much more pissed when it succeeds with referree's help. I couldn't imagine a ref giving that penalty after not giving the previous to Conscielny.
Either the ref wanted to make sure we didn't have OT or France's turn hasn't come yet

You love it or you hate it. I hate it. I don't like how Spain plays and i never will. They are like robots with ball, no mistakes, no drama, just short passing and ball holding, and referees loves them.

Tbf France played exactly like they should not have. One quick goal Spain, then just switch shortball machine running, and no real chances for France at all, even if Ribery made some flashes.
France should have done Italy and dropped deep into their own area and not allow Spain come any closer to scoring, then whenever possible hit counter and use Ribery's strengths. Not trying to beat Spain in their own game.

Completely agree with you. That thing that they play isn´t football. It´s boring as hell and they keep passing the ball like "robots" as you said. They don´t manage to do a typical counter-attack with 4/5 passes only, it´s really irritating. But maybe that´s the point of their football, unfortunately. The only thing that keeps them in the Euro is that impenetrable defense.
The only player that I like in that Spanish team is Xabi Alonso. +30 meters long passes, tactically a fantastic player as proven today, not only by those two goals, but as well by the fantastic game he made.

Yes, unfortunately yes. I think he didn´t understand yet that they don´t need 6 midfielders, they always use the wing to attack, they rarely pass the ball through the defenders in the middle. At least they didn´t do that today...

Spain is all about Xavi. When he´s tired like in most of Spain´s games at this Euro, there is no Spain clear chances to score. I only remember 1 pass to goal opportunity from him and nothing else. Even Silva, top player so far, was dull today :) Got to hate the tic tac style.

Would be nice to see a team play vs Spain normally... Feel sorry for them tbh everyone who plays Spain just changes their game completely to defend

Well , besides all the private opinions shared, there is only one truth standing at the end...The Spain team or Del Bosque himself...they don`t think or neither care about our reasons for which we pay cable or buy football match tickets...they care to win..they do it in their own way , respecting the same rules that any other team do...their pulse it`s running over 150 on the pitch...they`re not bored...some of us are...who cares...refill your glass or change your beer dose!!!...the match was boring , I agree...but the winners were way better!!!...If you care to criticise, let`s talk about what sort of football did France play...If you all need show then buy a ticket and go to circus , don`t bring it here...you`ll have some show!!!...because it`s planned to be a show...FRrance couldn`t make it a show today!!!!....they were to weak...tactically , they couldn`t even do what Chelsea managed to do against Barcelona in the Champions league semifinals...winning the game and let the spanish do the show...

I am Spanish.
I see a lot of football critic here, but I think they do not see how they play their equipment.
Italy can play just locked up and get a goal in the only chance.
France has a very poor game in midfield and that's impossible to get a goal.
England alone can play the long ball to get a goal.
I do not really like is the game of Spain, I am more in favor of more like quick game or PORTUGAL REAL MADRID ... but recognize that play possession is a very effective tactic.
To play well not just any team and it takes a lot of quality in all players to make effective tactics.
Spain does not pass through his prime and is physically very tired, because their players have accumulated a lot of games and the pace is much slower and maybe that's why the games are boring.
Anyway I prefer that my team has the ball and I get bored with you to play as Chelsea, enclosed back and giving up the attack.

pretty strange...we`re all gathered here, on gpro , to play tactics and strategy as managers , but for some of us it`s very hard to admit that in other sports , especially when we consider football as a human conditioned sport....short ball or tiki-taka as they call it it`s prooved to be a very efective tactic..but we forget that this takes a lot of effort too...congrats to Spain...I wanna see you in the finals or loosing to a team that plays at least what other people around here thing it should be football....

If Spain would have played with Greece today, they would have most likely lost with this kind of play. Greece has good def and fast counter attacs, also they had (I think he told he retires) Samaras.

I think they played it the entire game...perfect tactic against a team that showed no motivation or other special skills...I got bored but I had no emotions for the whole game...I`d love to see our national team playing with such results at least for a while..:))...I got bored of staying at home , lately...

If you see the Spanish league ... There are two teams that make a difference, and FC BARCELONA REAL MADRID ... his style is very different and may be as effective ... the difference in style is Xavi Hernandez ... when Xavi Hernandez plays football is less direct and much more pass, whereas when Xavi is not football is more aggressive, more like REAL MADRID as Xavi Alonso (raised in English football) is taking the lead . If you have doubts of my words look on the friendly matches in Spain that has not been XAVI.
The selections that more damage is done playing as Greece, of course, waiting for their opportunity and locked behind ... If you see the FC Barcelona ... in all that has been lost for that reason.
Attempting to remove the possession to Spain today is impossible.
