Hate the term noob or noobie :-( It sounds like the manager is being a bit condescending.
New player sounds much better :-) Or, first name would be better :-p
I still consider myself green around the gills even after around 14/15 seasons. Still stuff I think, oh man, I wish Id thought of that before :-p

Being in Rookie for a while now, I believe there is a significant advantage to people once they have done around 100 races.
I believe the advantage is big enough that people with more than 100 races that reset should end in Amateur not rookie.

I think an individual will learn and progress at there own rate.... i guess for me after being here since season 14ish and never been passed Pro.... i'm still learning and therefore in someway i'm still a newbie.... it's all about perception and everyone will have a different answer

I think newbie is a state of mind. The answer is subjective rather than objective. You are a newbie as long as you feel like a newbie, and when you feel youre not held back by being new in the game, youre simply not a newbie anymore. For me it was after 3-4 seasons, but I imagine it can vary a lot.
