Ivan, you got very lucky that the rain's lasted for as long as it did. If it was just a short shower, you'd be doing another stop.

Or you can use the max risk your driver can handle and keep sending him to spa resort after each race. :P
I can't believe it's the 7th race out of 7 that the weather will favor Dunns. There must be a hot 2nd half of the season coming up.

Bad luck, Sverri. You were looking good for the win. But it wasn't random. It was my crew that played with your suspension before the race for snatching SFK from right in front of my nose. :P

Good win ari. I was probably the slowest 2nd placed in master. I didnt bother much to prepare this last race and just went with some random strategy, seems it Works more than when you actually prepare a race.
And Michal, i'm well aware of the risks i use but that is not a problem for me. When i said its indiferent if i promote or not its because i am well aware im not even gonna fight for elite retention. The driver does what i need him to do and thats it.

I don't think there's anything to worry about, Zoltan. Next is your driver's FT, and Dunns weather. You got the bad luck out of the way now, so should be smooth sailing next race for you. You're my tip for the win in Kaunas.

I already lost the count, it will be the 8th race out of 8 that the weather will favor Dunns. I'm getting old, can't count anymore. :D
I'm hoping for some warm weather in Greece, but knowing my luck, even if it's hot, it will probably rain.

I still think you would have 70 point by now, easily.
As for the promo, we're down to 4/5 candidates now but Ilkka and Zoltan have quite a gap to recover. My focus right now is the 10 point gap i have to Ilkka to be honest.
@Sverri's random was not what i consider a pure random, its more like a very unlikely event. Still sucks to have them happening, curious how it even the standings when me and sverri would be slightly ahead of everyone else (nothing personal but its not the first time i see randoms happening this way, its almost like they follow a pattern).
Next race should be for
@Zoltan, i would be surprised if it didnt happen. Maybe he can be a surprise for the 2nd half of the season if he can afford to push, must say i wasnt totally expecting him to be as competitive as he's starting to look like.
I've followed you for some time in elite when you had high money balance and i know you have made some mistakes managing it ending up loosing it in relegation taxes so i didnt take you serious when you claimed you were promoting.
@Michal: About temps, i can understand how it feels to be on conties in such a cold season. I remember once attempting to promote on dunnos and getting 12 conti races.
My tyre pick was based in not having to worry about temps though, its the most consistent tyre. You are scoring because the overall pace of the group decreased, if we had a strong paced group like last season you would barely have points so far (but then i would probably have few points aswell).

How do you figure that? There's probably about 0.2-0.3 sec difference between our drivers on an average track. You run around 15CT more than I do. You'd still be quicker than me in many races, and the same goes for Jose at the start of the season, and Sverri, and others on an occasion. Ivan, I can tell you that if I went with Dunns, I would not have any more points than I do now. Had I chosen Dunns I would've actually been risking promo, unless I stopped driver development and kept doing spa. Have you noticed my lap times towards the end of the race in the last 3 rounds? Had I done spa before this race and used the max risk I could, I would've won the race. But I refused to do that, I want to keep training this driver as much as I can. Having said that, I may have to do a spa session or 2 soon, if I want to promote. So watch out. But even if I did spa 3 races ago and still used the same risk, I'd probably be in p3 overall right now; I think I've made a mistake not doing that and cost myself a few points now. But I can tell you that I would not have 70 points yet had I gone with Dunns, that's for sure. I'd have to do what I can do on Contis, use spa and keep pushing every race, just that Contis cost less.

Ivan, Contis are quick in dry conditions, no matter what temps. They just really come alive when it's warm. You still don't know how little CT I have to use, and I'm still running out of DE despite these low risks. When I chose Contis I made that decision based on the fact that there will be a lot more dry races than wet, and that's basically the only compromise I had to make.

Well, if it has to rain, just as well it's so bloody hot, I'll lose out less on the wet track when it's hot. But still not happy, especially that it's a lottery race and I can't afford to be too adventurous with my strategy.

I agree, George.
But I've decided to gamble a little, if it rains after just 4 or 5 laps I have a good chance to get through about 50 minutes of racing, so might just make it. But if there are more dry laps then I'll struggle and most likely will have to stop for new wets. If it does rain after 6 or 7 laps, I will lose a bit, but not a whole lot. The danger is if it stays dry for longer or it doesn't rain at all; it's a possibility but I do think we will have rain, just it's a guess when.
But I probably should've gone with the safe strategy given the temps and my pace. That's why I'm not too happy with myself. Just thought to try something different to get the win because Ivan will be flying on higher risk.

Extactly, I'm thinking the rain will start around lap 5 and continue till about 30-35.

It seems Michal was worried with strategy for nothing. you can just go 0 ct next race and still take the win.
Giovanni's info about the fuel somehow annoyed me :D but its serres anyway so i would never count on people underfueling.
