Quote ( David Mels @ June 23rd 2020,21:20:17 ) How is it possible that Mario Martinez (P8) did not make his qualification 2, finds himself last at the start and in the points at the finish ?
It is especially the last part that surprises me because he could not make any adjustments.
• In case you have completed Qualifying 1, but didn't manage to complete Qualifying 2, you will still be allowed to race, but will start from the back of the grid, using the car setup from Qualifying 1 /GPRORules.asp#27-notes-about-strategy
Probably just luck that the setup happened to work this time. In many other races it would not work as well

Everything else is the same as the previous race.

Quote ( David Mels @ June 23rd 2020,21:52:25 ) Using the car setup from Qualifying 1 OK but what risks ? Q: What risks do you have on race strategy right at this moment ? A: The same as previous race
So... I'd think that applies the same (not 10000% sure, but most likely it is so)

Ok, if it's normal, then he is lucky !

Quote ( Jasper Coosemans @ June 23rd 2020,16:09:04 ) In holiday mode, when I look at a sponsor's details (NegotiateSponsor.asp), the page footer is shown over the top banner. That means, the 'Support GPRO' and 'Back to office' buttons and the copyright note etc., are all floating at the very top edge of the screen.
I get the same in past season group pages.

When downloading economy history as Excel, numbers less than 1,000,000 are reported without 3 zeros, meaning the number is 1000x smaller
Edit - and the same is true if you copy+paste the table directly from the page

This race was hotter than the upper limit of the temp range during the 30-60 minute segment. And yes during the elite race.
About half my team had last lap pit stops as a result as tires couldn't go the distance.
Bug?

Quote ( Athol Kay @ June 24th 2020,00:42:48 ) Bug? Nah, happens more often than you'd think. In Montreal it also happened, for example.
Basically the temperature will always move towards the estimated temp range within that section, and once within the range will not exceed the boundaries. I think. So it can definitely begin a section outside the range, but will at some point move inside the range.
The race started at 30°C for a few laps, where the 0-30min section was meant to be 31-35°C :)

That I expected as Q2 was 30 degrees.

Quote ( Athol Kay @ June 24th 2020,01:13:50 ) That I expected as Q2 was 30 degrees. Yes. The race started below the first section's temp range, and eventually went up to be within that range. And similarly, the 0-30min section finished at 35°C, so once the next section started, the temperature slowly went towards the temp range for the 30-60min section.
I suppose the assumption was that the temperature will rise or fall towards the upcoming section's temp range within the current section? That's not the case, unfortunately.

A weather forecast isnt exact math, simple as that.

I've noticed that when pitting the "T" tecnical issue disappears for the duration of "pit lap" and comes back again after the "pit lap". Seems like same kind of issue.

Quote ( Jasper Coosemans @ July 3rd 2020,22:01:14 ) Someone in Rookie used the short circuit lay-out to clock a lap? /gb/Stats.asp?type=trackbestrlaps&trackId=12#scroll
Not quite as silly as that though... any other races like that?

It's weird for sure seeing in her career history that she hasn't win a single race in S11 :)
