There's more to it than just overtake and defend risks. I set both of them to zero for this race, but still had 11 DMs during the race. Clearly I set "clear & wet" risk a bit too high for wet conditions. It was a good experiment and a lesson learned.

I gained 2 position but the guy in front of me won 13 positioms only because he had no DM
|
|
|
|
So what is the record for most amount of DM's in a race. Currently a guy in my group (The championship leader) has had 5 DM's in the first 27 laps
Lap 36 he does his 6th one
Lap 41 he does his 7th

Well I had five which is higher than I had expected, but I am on Conti tyres so that must have been a contributing factor.

firstly mistakes don't happen too often IMO
Secondly the number of people playing the game is actually steady, but don't let facts get in the way of your whine :)

I have had 12 DM's in the last 3 races 1 race was zero risk the other 2 where under 30 CTR
My last driver made less DM's and had lower rating's this driver was meant to be a step up which he is in Q's but not on the track well at least not for DM's he is faster than my last one but hey we live and learn :-)

Prehaps it might be that last season you were running at the front (less cars around you , less overtake attempts) , rather than in the middle of the field (more car's around, more overtake attempts) ?

You were at front of amateur last season. You are in Pro midfield this season.
I believe that's why. More traffic = more chance of mistake. Especially traffic that isn't maybe as quick as your driver might be.

So I'm doing something right, probably by accident, cause I get very few mistakes usually. At worst I got 2 in a race, but in most races my guy makes no mistakes at all
Guess he is just a good pilot. I think I might have figured what combination of stats makes him less prone to mistakes, but of course I will only really know when I play with a different pilot
