Hello :)

I'm having trouble with qualifying. My Q1 times are considerably slower than the rest of my group, even though my driver thinks my car setup is perfect. Normally it wouldn't bother me too much, but I seem to be a massive 4 seconds behind half of my group.

I honestly don't know what else I could do :(

Any help (or reasons why this is happening) appreciated!

It is almost certainly your drivers fault. Maybe he is just no good at qualifying. He might still be good in the race though.

Hi Kari.

You probably have a bad driver...try looking through the forums for tips as to what makes a good rookie driver. Alternatively check the markets and look at drivers who have had past success....do they have any attributes in common?

Also - just because the driver says he's happy with the set-up does not mean it's a perfect set-up....but 4 seconds does mean it will be the driver.

Small tip: overall Ability means nothing.

Bad driver could be it. He was especially poor in my last race, still waiting to see if my offers for new ones are accepted.

Thanks, that's a relief :)

Mine driver is 2 secs slower in both quals than fastest qual drivers in my group, but when it comes to race, my driver is always top in fastest laps :)

perhaps you aren't using the correct tyres (i learnt this off another game,) check the whether, if it is raining, go with rain. If not, experiment with the tyres by seeing which you're driver goes fastest on and use them. Also, make sure you set the right amount of fuel into you're car, I'll kust warn you cause i made this mistake, it says litres NOT laps of fuel. I made this mistake, and i qualified 1st but, due to the amount of time my driver had to pit, i finished 8th. (And that's only because one driver retired.)
