Automotodróm Slovakia Ring is a motor racing circuit in Orechová Potôň, Dunajská Streda District in Slovakia, approx. 30 km away from Bratislava. It was built in 2008–2009. The project was authored by Hans Roth, a well-experienced Austrian architect who has also designed a number of other similar projects in Austria and Hungary. The parameters of the race track Slovakia Ring rank it among the longest road race tracks in Europe. It is possible to ride on the race track in 6 different variants in both directions which means even 12 different versions of the race track. The length of the longest track version is 5.923 metres long, 12 metres wide and the home straight is 20 metres wide. There are four artificially created elevations, the so called horizons on the track which make the track more diverse and guarantee another kick of adrenaline to drivers. Its technical difficulty presents a big challenge also for the most experienced ones and the dimensions of the veer off zones guarantee maximum safety. The race track complies with the strict rules of FIM and FIA for organising prestigious international motorist events. On August 21, 2011, the track hosted the fifth round of the 2011 FIA GT3 European Championship season. On April 29, 2012 Slovakia Ring hosted its first race of FIA WTCC. On June 10, 2012, the track hosted the fourth round of the 2012 FIA GT1 World Championship season. One of the brave aims for the future is to host MotoGP races.
