This year has already been a great year for metal, some big names have released albums that have been brilliant and some smaller names in the scene have released albums that have exceeded my expectations. Now we are at the halfway point I've decided to rate them and create a top 10.
1. Trivium - What the Dead Men Say (9.4/10) 2. Testament - Titans of Creation (9.1) 3. Dark Fortress - Spectres of the Old World (9) 4. Sons of Apollo - MMXX (8.6) 5. Warbringer - Weapons of Tomorrow (8.6) 6. Havok - V (8.6) 7. Firewind - Firewind (8.5) 8. Sepultura - Quadra (8.5) 9. Paradise Lost - Obsidian (8.5) 10. Bleed From Within - Fracture (8.4)
3 honourable mentions also go to Annihilator, Sylosis and Lamb of God whose albums are all great and just miss out on the list. Trivium is gonna be hard to top but there are some interesting upcoming releases that should breach my list. So if your into metal check some of em out and look out for my end of year list as well.
