I am just wondering if I can't count or don't understand to well. Why is there more than 36 managers in some amateur groups? I was in the understanding that it was 36 managers per group.

It's supposed to be 40 in every group. I think there are less in some because of the new promotion rules (you can no longer promote from lower than xth (maybe 7th) position even if more are negative ahead).

Thats a little outdated since there is now 125 groups, but yeah gives the same answer xD

36 is the average I'd assume, but for some inexplicable reason players haven't been distributed evenly between groups, so some have more and some have less.
E: Oh okay you've just said 36 because it's your group ...gotcha

Wrong, cos there were plenty of 4th placed managers in rookie with over 70 points who did not promote despite a positive balance :)
I think the admins just want to reduce amateur size to increase the numbers in rookie..that's how it seemed when Kevin Parkinson explained at least :)

so wait
I can promote from 7th? That's awesome!

It seems that a math driven game is rather...what is the word...poor at maths!

I did. It isn't the best idea in the world.

They must've had 3 wealthy quick managers in their group then :)

Me too.
That's three times you've mentioned your ability to count now.

Nevermind, didn't understand the logic at first; did it now.
Sorry for my mistake, will never happen again.

I'm in a 37-group...but i don't care...3 of the group last year were inactive so nothing changed

Hey guys! I HAVE AN IDEA! ANd it could theoretically fix this problem. Add an extra driver. You get the rookie reset money when you add an extra driver (only possible at the start of a season). And you driver OA is individual, but you facilities level is the average of the two drivers. This would lead to more active drivers! What do you all think?
EDIT: Also a driver who is in rookie when you have another driver in a higher group would not give you the rookie reset money for retaining in rookie. (I hope this all makes sense?)

Only 3 from any group can promote. So if none ahead are negative then 4th doesn't promote.
But if you are 8th and 1-7 are negative, then no one promotes

I wonder what admins will do with relegations :D For example only 2 managers relegating in my group. Normally we have more bancrupts and inactives.

If there are groups that are not full, why can't I be allowed to have my teammates in my group, there's room !!?

At the moment there are 4757 managers in Amateur so it's ~38 managers per group. Any who is in a smaller group can count himself lucky :)
