I have a suggestion that you could employ a spy, maybe a limited amount of times per season, to get information that you would not normally get access to. Spy missions could include:
- Seeing the driver stats of another manager; - Seeing the Technical Director stats of another manager; - Seeing the Staff and Facility levels of another manager; - Seeing hidden bids in the driver market for a particular driver; - Revealing who a private bidder is in the driver market.
I expect this facility would mostly be of interest to the higher leagues and I think it shouldn't be available too often so as to keep any advantage gained small.
I would see the cost working best as supporter credits, but I guess game money could work if pitched at a high, but not too expensive level.

Sounds like a fun idea but I imagine it would be a tough one to implement.

This already happens .. whats new????

- Seeing the driver stats of another manager; Can be done already.

- Seeing the Technical Director stats of another manager; Same.

- Seeing the Staff and Facility levels of another manager; Should stay hidden, imo of course.

- Seeing hidden bids in the driver market for a particular driver; The bidder alraedy pays extra for the hidden bid. Why would he bother if that isnt exactly beneficial.

- Revealing who a private bidder is in the driver market. Same as above :)
I like the spying idea but it can massively undo all the good work the opponent does and it takes away using your own brain to get better :)

The first two ones are pretty much seeable to everyone already, and the third one partly too. I'm not against this as I wouldn't mind my opponents wasting their money to useless stuff, but I doubt it would be much used by good managers.

I don't see a reason for any of the above tbh and most you can find out anyway at least roughly. If it doesn't influence the maximum staff trainings level I wouldn't mind see that implemented though.

These 2 can be done to an extent, even now.

This already happens .. whats new???? Exactly, besides spying is unmoral and I like to think of this game like something fun and this community as a nice buńch of people who are brought together by the same interest.
But spying can take the effortless joy away. What's the point of hidden offers if people can still see it?
|
|
|
As said above the first 2 are pretty much doable now.
I would actually think that if it was implemented it would be used mostly by Rookies to try and figure things out without having to use their brains. No disrespect to anyone in Rookie.
I would imagine a lot of people will be like me and be more worried about what's going on in my GPRO world than finding out what's going on in someone else's.

I'm going to hire a spy that will infiltrate an opponents team and massacre all their staff with an uzi, during a race. Then he will sprinkle gunpowder over the driver when he comes in to pit, and will then set him on fire. He will be ripped limb from limb.
Yes from me.

|
Another game I used to play introduced espionage and it didn't last long as people were being nobbled over and over which ultimately left to some people leaving the game.
|
|
|
If the spy is in the game, I would like it for only one reason: If it could bring me knowlegde of what risks and strategy my opponents will use the next race. Other than that. Useless.
Edit: I have some serious writing issues right now :D
|
|
|
Signe that wouldn't work as people would change their risks just before the race.
|
|
|
In that case. Completely useless :D
I sound like such a nay-sayer :(

I'd think that if this was implemented, it obviously would be so that a rookie could not figure out what the elite champion is doing with his money... There is mostly nothing to be gained by spying other rookies, all the relevant stats are so low that it would hardly provide a clear picture of how the game actualy works on the above divisions.
So your fear is baseless.

Leonardo if someone is blitzing a Rookie league then someone else in that league spies his driver it's likely they will figure a bit out about driver stats.
Just an example obviously.

I prefer the idea of working things out as a team. No need for spying. Besides, the longer you play GPRO the more people you get to "know" and you can always exchange ideas.... or get pointed in the right direction.

That would be a saboteur not a spy.

As i am not interested at wath other managers do, and never look at other qualifs and so on, until i have done mine, i see absolutely no use for at gimmick like this.
I depart from the given that others have to adapt to me, rather then me adapting to them :)

Would be useless as I already hacked Vlad's computer, and from there the game :) Now I too have a red button :D

So, basically Supernova (or any other big team) can then obtain detailed information about the entire Elite group and combine their knowledge into one giant pool?
No thanks...

If you knew what it took to "blitz" rookie then you'd know that driver is not the most important part.
Besides, you can already figure out other people driver stats with reasonable accuracy...

So right, besides all of Us do that sort of almost with precise values, no need to have official spy's, se no point here!

Luc totally agree and that's what I was getting at ;)

For this what I believe is that like on F1 could add news, on the group, like a board running news from the managers, simple stuff like:
-X manager is now testing -Y anager is trainning his driver -Z manager is now atempting looking on the driver market is he goin for a change??
Things like that
