I managed to salvage P4 and am just happy that my guy didn't pit to get rid of the smoke.

Actually, I didn't go for FL but rather used boost laps after my stops to pass some blockers. But it was still a shame that I missed it by just a small margin. In the race I went for the 4 stops strategy to avaoid blocking, although it wasn't the optimal strategy on paper. It worked quite well, but my two DMs didn't help. Well, at least I won against Fabricio this race.
And yes, financially Fabricio looks much better than me. Looking at his and my budgets at the end of last season Fabricio did a magnificent job in managing his finances, but still scoring so well. Anyhow, I guess we will both be broke after this season, I see no chance for either of us to survive Master next season. So the difference will just be on which level we start our individual rebuilts. ;)

We all share the same pain, at one time or another in our managerial times.
Hence, I like this latest empathy development in regards to sponsors. :)
Helping each other in this regard, rather than competing, benefits everyone partaking in it.

What the heck just happened? I started smoking in lap 22 and without piting the smoke disappeared in lap 28. :-O

It's a feature introduced this season or the last one, can't remember exactly. You'll see in the race report that starting in lap 22 you had a problem that was solved by telemetry or something in lap 28.
PS: that's what you get for pushing too hard 😁

Nope! It's all about the points for promotion! I'll have to get as many as possible before my finances finally run out and Fabricio catches me again. :D

I've seen it happen with loads of wear left at the end of the race, well into double digits. My guess is this is the new nuisance, but it's preferable instead of driver puking in the helmet.

Well, my electronics were worn at the start of the race, but there was no risk of them not finishing the race. Actually, they could almost last next race too. But you are right, I also prefer random problems that fix themself, rather than them terminating my race.
