Group 5
Jens led his group out and fired himself a lovely round of error free golf as he picked up an Eagle on the 1st hole and then on the back nine, picked up 3 Birdies and another fine Eagle to card a score of 65 and 7 Under Par to get him back into contention.

Jorge had himself a nice round of golf with no errors at all. His front nine contained a Birdie and a nice Eagle whilst his back nine, he grabbed another 4 Birdies in a row and then finished with another Eagle to bring his score to 63 and 9 Under Par getting his close to the top.

Vin must have fuelled himself up at breakfast as he came out onto the course like a rocket and fired shots in from everywhere. His front nine contained 4 Birdies and a nice Eagle whilst his back nine was a further 2 Birdies and another Eagle as he posted a wonderful score of 62 and 10 Under Par. “Catch me if you can” was the chanting from the crowds.

Similar to the 2nd round, it would appear that some players who played well during the 2nd round were not necessarily playing as well for the3rd round and vice-versa but some wonderful scoring on the day was turning the table into a scintillating battle for the top spot with yet another round to come. Could this excitement continue.
It promised to make for an exciting finish if the 3rd round was anything to go by.

Group 6
Matthew took up the challenge from the chanting crowds as he fired in a few shots of his own with an Eagle and a Birdie on the front nine and then4 more Birdies and another Eagle on the back nine to come home in a score of 63 and 9 Under Par – so close

Alan never got to those levels but still had a solid no errors round as he picked up an Eagle and a Birdie on the front nine and then another Birdie on the back nine to card a score of 68 and 4 Under Par to keep him in touch.

Steve was last out in this group and he made a pretty good round as he was solid all the way through and on the front nine started with a nice Eagle. He followed that up with 3 Birdies on the back nine and picked up a HOLE-IN-ONE to finish the day on 65 and 7 Under Par.

Craig played a nice solid regulation round for 15 of the holes front and back. He picked up a nice early Eagle on the front nine and then on the back nine, grabbed 2 late Birdies to take his score to 68 and 4 Under Par

Nicholas struggled on his front nine as he dropped an early Double Bogey and 2 late Double Bogeys before the break. He turned that around on the back nine with 2 Birdies and an Eagle to get it back to just 74 and 2 Over Par for the day.

Group 8
Dave led out the final pairing on the day and what a great round he had as he grabbed a nice Eagle to start on the front nine and then a Birdie. His back nine got better as he added another 4 Birdies before he finished with an Eagle on the last hole to end his day on63 and 9 Under Par pushing him up the table

Sheri tried to follow her playing partner but could not quite match the superb play although she had a round with no errors as well. She had 16 regulation golf holes and managed a Late Birdie on the front nine and a late Eagle on the back nine to come home with 69 and 3 Under Par to keep her in touch.

The 3rd round proved to be a different affair as the leading pack bunched back together a little with some wonderful scoring getting close to the course record, but then sadly there were some out on the course who could not match that play and struggled to keep in touch as the 3rd Round scoreboard looked like this

We do indeed and probably my fault for not telling everyone that or reminding them. I shall send a pm to all just to remind them

@Alan Halford (A39)
Is there the possibility to post a link to the current tournament's post, on a major it can be 4-5 pages behind and pages with 50 posts are quite long, making it sometimes difficult to find specially on a phone

I don't think I will be much of a factor in the final rounnd. It was shaping up as a very strong final-round and then I had a lap over a second faster than any other lap and it was not on boost. I did have one eagle so it should not be an ugly round.

Welcome to Pebble Beach on FINAL day of the U.S. OPEN on another warm day with some cloud cover but no threat of rain just yet. There is quite a stiff breeze which could still cause some problems on certain holes for some of the players but the crowds are large and will no doubt be nosier than they have been for the last 3 days as they want to make sure their man/lady gets there.
Major events do throw up some strange results so maybe the players will find scoring a little easier on this final day – or maybe they will just crumble under the pressure – we shall soon see so buckle up and lets’ go for that thrilling ride for the FINAL round of the season’s first Major.

Group 1 Cameron started his final round with a nice error free front nine as he played solid golf on the first 9 holes. He then dropped a little as he made 2 early Double Bogeys before coming back with a Birdie and an Eagle on the last 2 holes to bring it back to 73 and 1 Over Par.

Richard fortunately made his mistakes early as he dropped 2 Bogeys on the front nine and then another early Bogey on the back nine. He did then pick it up with a Birdie and 2 late Eagles to get his score back to 70 and 2 Under Par
https://i.imgur.com/zzpAlRh.png
Roy never really did much on his final round other than an error free front nine. He was then inconsistent as he dropped a Bogey and a Double Bogey but picked up a Birdie and an Eagle to finish on a 72 Level Par for the day.

Group 2
Jun finished his tournament under Par but he dropped this round as he completed the front nine with regulation golf, but then dropped a Double Bogey and a Bogey and only grabbed 1 Birdie to take his score to 74 and 2 Over Par for the final round
https://i.imgur.com/AZs8H12.png
Tony had one of those pretty steady rounds but two different halves. His front nine was a little off as he dropped 2 Bogeys but he got back to solid golf and finished with and Eagle and a Birdie of which one was a great HOLE-IN-ONE to bring his score back to 1 Under Par for the final day
https://i.imgur.com/tmae6u0.png
Despite trying hard, Nicholas never really got his game going. He grabbed a Birdie on the front nine but dropped a Bogey. Then on the back nine, he dropped 3 Double Bogeys but only manager to pick up 3 Birdies, so ended his day on 75 and 3 Over Par

Group 3
Marcus had one of those differing halves in his game today. His front nine, he was never in control as he dropped 2 Double Bogeys but in the back nine he came back with an Eagle and a Birdie but still finished the day on 73 and 1 Over Par.

Mike was all over the shop on his final round as he could not get any consistency throughout his round. He dropped 2 Double Bogeys, 2 Bogeys but got 3 Birdies and an Eagle to limit his damage to 73 and 1 Over Par for the day.
https://i.imgur.com/L0QlIhr.png
Chew finished his tournament with a mediocre round as he dropped a Bogey mid-way through his front nine and then to match up his round, grabbed a Birdie mid-way through his back nine. He finished the day on 72 and a Level Par score.

Group 4
John finished his tournament nicely with his 4th round Under Par as he played solid golf on the front nine and grabbed a Birdie and an Eagle. He dropped 2 Double Bogeys on the back nine but complimented them with another Birdie and another Eagle to end his day on 70 and 2 Under Par – steady “Eddie”
https://i.imgur.com/Qa84Qwx.png
Marvin had a bad start to his final round as he dropped a Bogey and a Double Bogey on his front nine. His back nine was almost as bad as he dropped another 2 Double Bogeys and a Bogey but he did also manage to pick up a Birdie and an Eagle, so finished on 77 and 5 Over Par for the day.
https://i.imgur.com/2bbxN4U.png
Eduardo continued his good play from the last round. He unfortunately dropped a Bogey on the front nine but his back nine was much better as he grabbed 5 Birdies and an Eagle to end his day on 66 and 6 Under Par

Group 5

https://i.imgur.com/oiw0pJH.png
Alan’s round was mostly regulation golf but he dropped a Bogey on the front nine and then dropped another Bogey on the back nine, however he grabbed an Eagle on the last hole to finish on 72 and Level Par for his final round.
https://i.imgur.com/7rou6Fu.png
Craig completed his final round Under Par to compliment his other rounds as although he dropped a Double Bogey and a Bogey, he also picked up 3 Birdies and an Eagle to card a score of 71 and 1 Under Par, to complete 4 rounds Under Par
