very sad, hope he makes a speedy recovery
i thought it was a minor fall due to early reports :(

It still could have been.
"Reports from multiple outlets (including dailymail.co.uk) [...] Schumacher has SEVERE head trauma and Ralf is crying [...]" is NOT official and we see these stories time and time again, and as they walk out of hospital, they try and cover their new victims' face as best as possible so they can get a few more vies for a few more minutes.
It's impossible to believe the media when stories like the above are circulating around the whole internet.

Love him or hate him, if you're in any way a fan of F1 there should be only one forum topic tonight. Personally, once I'd got over despising him (after Damon Hill retired) I was free to love the way he went about his business. Ruthless? Clinical? Dirty? Rule bender? Yes to all of that and more, but that was because he was a supreme talent who had one aim and that was to be the greatest F1 driver of all time. Yeah, Vettel will probably break his records but he's only a sanitised version of the great man in an era where the car makes the difference more than it used to. Please Michael, get well soon.

I'm in the same boat here. Although I got over the despisement probably about a year or two before Michael's first retirement. So a bit later than you. :)
In any case, this is definitely no time to remember the despisement. It's a time to remember the man. And to wish him well.

Czech medias told that Schumacher's condition is critical and he can have cerebral hemorrhage (this is when blood pours to brain)

Any injuries associated with the brain is no good news at all. Very sad, but I hope that his physical and mental strength pulls him through.

Apperently he had a 2nd surgery to relieve pressure. Atleast he has the best doctors with him, lets hope for the best in a few mins..

Having just listened to the first 1 min of the press conference its pretty clear we arent going to learn anything new!

There is a press conference at Grenoble Hospital right now.
The doctor says that he still is in a "Critical state". Is Neurological state is going worse. He is actually into an artificial coma
"His prognosis for survival is committed"
The doctors specify that he underwent only a single surgical operation and that no other one is planned at the moment
