Niels, is 1.2.2 up on the website yet? I uninstalled, downloaded from thr website and reinstalled, but it's still telling me there is a newer version and showing as 1.2.1
Cheers

Yes, I just found out that I was a wee bit too fast, forgetting to update the version number in the SW. It has been done now.
|
|
|
Ok thanks Niels, and thank you for a great piece of software.

Great tool, congratz Niels. I've been looking for tool just like this. :) I want to inform you just to hyperlink the latest update file to "Latest version" in http://www.89484848.dk/gpro/ cuz now I can download only version 1.2.1. I think that nobody can reach the newest version for now. I saw that 1.2.2 is released today so this can be the problem, not hyperlinked it yet.

What can i say, this is brilliant. You have saved me so much time. What an excellent contribution to the GPRO community. Kudos to you sir.

Yes, it is possible to crash GO, if you try to see your historical fuel consumption, without having one. This is the case for a lot of the windows. The fiscal windows will definately crash GO, unless your are in a rookie group, in which case it might still crash on you.
So last race info isn't enough for historical fuel cons?

The zipfile on the site contains the latest version. You will need to download it again, unpack it and run it. Alternatively, uninstall your existing Go-installation and then install the new one. Your save file will be unaffected by all this.

It works for me if I start with a clean installation, download info and then go to historical fuel consumption. Are you using the latest version?

Hi Niels,
what about the communication between the tool and the GPro WebSite. Which port is it using. I think I have a problem with the firewall.
Thanks for help !
|
|
|
I am also still geting the error when trying to look at the historical fuel consumption part, and i am using version 1.2.2
|
|
|
A question: Will there be a way to insert my old data manually? I've 3 full seasons data and if I put it in the tool it'll be great!

Hmm, this is not an easy one. It should be using the same port as everything else, as I am not specyfing any particular port. Perhaps you have to open for the program in yoyr firewall. I am sorry I cannot help you any more than this, but I really do not know.

It's in the FAQ, but I'll repepat it here. The only method for inserting old data is by using the track notes. There will not be an 'Import Old Data' function in the program, mainly because I do not need it personally and would rather use my developing time on other improvements.

Yeah, it says 1.2.2 Could it still be that i haven't got enough data in there yet, as i only have the race summary from last race, and the set-up etc for tonight's one.

As one of the "beta testers" on this, I just want to throw in my praise for Niels. The tool won't make a hopeless driver into a winner, but it will make sure you have the relevant data when you need it, in an organized manner.
Still doesn't take away the usefulness of a good team, but it enhances it, as sharing info amongst team members is also more easy and consistent.

Looks sweet, thank you very much!

hey really cool program.. but i seem to be having a small problem..
i keep getting this error when i try to open up an older file "Application has generated an exception that could not be handled. Process id=0xa8 (168), Thread id-0x404(1028)"
it asks me to debug the application.. which i do.. and then it says Registered JIT debugger not available..
thanks for help

I cannot recreate this error with the fuel consumption. What exactly do you do? Which buttons do you click and in which order? I would really like to get to the bottom of this.

What older file? Have you used GO previously, saved data, and are you trying to start up GO again, when you get this error?

I just wanted to say that my firewall confirms the program is connecting to the gpro website and only there, so it should be safe to say that no data is sent somewhere where it's not supposed to be (e.g. Niels doesn't do something evil like collecting our passwords and storing them to his private database or something :) )
|
|
|
Well, actually, if you configure it to search for a newer version, it will connect to the GO website to see if a new version has appeared, so it 'can' access other stuff than the GPRO pages, but you have to tell it to do so.

i had loaded all my info from before the race and saved it in a folder (the .dat file).. and now i went and double clicked the .dat file and it gives me that error.. since i wanted to look at my old wear information before doing updates

While I am at it, GO is having a problem with detecting car updates. I will take a look tomorrow and get back with a fix.

ps: what i did: open the program, hit F5, then wen to fuel history and then said that...

This is not the way to use GO. Place your data in the folder 'Documents and Settings'/<YourUserName>/'Application data'/'Go'/ and restart GO

and for my surprise when i reinstalled all the data was still there... This is how I made it. Unistalling Go will not delete your save data.
