I'd like to confirm for everyone here: the old 3.2.21 version + Sébastien's patch = fully working!

I still get the error during race parsing no matter how I load the patch.

Moved to GO folder
Extract Here
Still get an error during race parsing.

mine works to an extant now with patch, doesn't record several parts, but at least it actually comes on now

When you try, you get an error box?
Can you click on detail, and copy the data's and send them by PM?

The patch just worked fine for me. Make sure the patch is downloaded and extracted in the right place.

it no longer extracts sponsor (which the old one had stopped extracting) tyre supplier and this season also no longer extracts any of the race summary data, so far as I'm aware the patch has been installed in the correct place

The old version fails on Race Anaysis with introduction of Green Boost Laps
Then, finances, tyre supplier, sponsors who have to be parsed after also fails !
It seems that in fact it was not extracted on good path !
Check it please :)
I work hard on new ersion and new installer ^^

Okay , I have just downloaded :-
Go .3.2.21.original -setup
and
Go .3.2.21.original -patch
I run the first one to see what happens..no staff, season updated, no finances, no tyre supplier, no sponsors.
I then try and open "patch" pop up window says extract , I extract and .......!
Nothing happens !
when I click on "original setup " run as admin, I get modify, repair, remove every time !
.....frustrated !
Okay so TL,DR............I think that perhaps the best way forward could/would be to give Vlad full access to "Go" and let him make it work so that all managers (okay maybe supporters only - please discuss) have access to basic data collection software.
Personally I do not see a problem with this and in fact it should have happened a long time ago.
Thoughts ?
Please this is nothing to do with Seb and his fantastic efforts to keep "GO" going .

You are missing third step. You need to replace old data with patch files. If you are missing replace old data question you are doing something wrong.
You are getting modify, repair, remove because you are trying to reinstall program.

I do believe that Vlad and crew will have full access according to a comment on Sebastiens site for cerftified.

You are assuming that Vlad has the time and the inclination to do this.

Yes, I'm not that Vlad have time to do it.
But he claim mikkel to have access on source.
My intention, is to give him access when the new version arrives.
Mike, you have to put the extractable archive into your go path and patch, else you have to point out the right folder to apply successfully 👍

Sebastein, since many people for various reasons having problem with GO, can you add as third solution to download page, a GO as portable version? I do believe GO could function as standalone version.

By definition, if you put him in any directory (and also an USB key) with data's keep with program, this is portable.
The only thing, it's to have .net on target computer.
This is a win only app, but I see that Linux and mac users download it too.
If I've to target multi-os, I've to review the whole archictury (and I'm making it)
The best solution for the moment was this, I've to make an installer who can detect register settings to install it directly in good place 😁

I was brought up in this world even before calculators were on general sale.
So if I can get GO to work with help from Sebastian I"m sure you younger people can fathom it out and stop blaming the guy who has taken GO over when Mikkel packed it in.

That was the thinking. Zip installed directory and upload it. In this day and age, most people have .net installed by default. Maybe you could also add (net) web installer just in case.

The original site of mikkel was down.
I work on it but have a lot of others works in same time 😉

Hello and thanks for your wonderful job.
I installed go on win7 and I deactivated the check on "check new version", and with your patch, everything works perfectly.
Unfortunately on win10 I must have done something wrong, because after the usual phrase "could not check ..." the GO doesn't start.
I tried to uninstall with a special software and to reinstall all of it, but unfortunately the software continues not to start.
Question: is it possible to export the win7 GO configuration to win10?
In which registry key (or other obscure cave of windows) do I have to search?

It's an option in one of the tabs at the top (but not having it in front of me, I can't confirm which one)
