Just a quick question that i can't get my head around. In my races i frequenbtly see people that do 2 times or even more the amount of laps than me without doing a pitstop. For instance last race my tyres were gone after 20 laps but there were 4 drivers that drove around for 40 laps without making a pitstop and still driving competitive lap times.
One of the most common mistakes newbies make is using Extra soft compound every race. They think of the qualies but do not realize you need to stick to the selected dry compound for the entire race. In some races Extra softs are a good choice, but in some others are quite the opposite.
Your rivals are choosing harder compounds, hence they can do twice the number of laps you can do on extra softs. In Races as hot as last 2, they were probably on Hards or Medium. Notice high temperatures affect tyre duration considerably.
@Florencia Caro (P18) I can't seem to find where to change tyres then. In my race strategy i only can tick Extra soft or Rain tyres. Am i missing something?
