Quote ( Alan Halford @ September 18th 2020,23:05:29 ) OK more care to be taken guys -
1st FL is DRY 2nd FL is WET
I totally thought there was a post way back, that it didn't matter what order FLs were in, but I can't find it now despite an exhaustive search. Old people problems...
Anyone else watching 24 hHours of Le Mans? Such different problems in this long race!

Quote ( Alan Halford @ September 19th 2020,23:14:57 ) that is why I put that up so nobody followed me. I saw the mistake when I was away from my pc and on my iPad so was a quick post without trying to change it all on iPad - thanks

Welcome to AUGUSTA and Day 1 of the THE MASTERS on a warm and sunny day where there is very little breeze and glorious sunshine and massive crowds. The players will still find the event tough because even though the weather is brilliant, the holes have been placed in some very tough positions, so buckle up and lets go for a ride.

Group 1
As the first group go out early, Alan starts well and plays some regulation golf and he doesn’t put a foot wrong picking up a late Birdie. He follows that through to the back nine with no errors and a late Birdie to finish his round on 70 and 2 Under Par
https://i.imgur.com/LD1WKEP.png
Mick follows on but not the same scoring as he struggles a little and drops a Bogey midway. Onto the back nine and an early Double Bogey sets his day for a 75 finish and 3 Over Par. Not the best opening day for his first Major.
https://i.imgur.com/niMyJur.png
Roy begins his round very much improving from recent rounds and picks up and early Birdie and then 2 more at the end of the front nine. Onto the back nine and it remains steady as he picks up a further 2 Birdies to end the day on 67 and 5 Under Par.

Group 2
Kyle led his group out and he began with some solid golf as he made no errors and picked up a late Birdie on the front nine. His back nine was more of the same as he remained steady and picked up a further 3 Birdies along the way to finish on 68 and 4 Under Par
https://i.imgur.com/3L6B9Gq.png
Peter was next on the tee and had a slightly mixed front nine with steady golf but dropped a Double Bogey after picking up an early Birdie. His back nine was more solid as he picked up another 2 Birdies to take his score to 71 and 1 Under Par
https://i.imgur.com/aMlONgi.png
Mike was struggling this season as he fought hard to make an impression. He did pick up a Birdie on his round but he also dropped 3 Bogeys and a Double Bogey to finish on 76 and 4 Over Par. He needed to get back to winning ways sooner rather than later.

Group 3
The lady of golf, Sheri begins her round but drops an early Bogey. On her back nine she also drops another Bogey but she does pick up an early Birdie and then finishes her round with a lovely Eagle to end her day on 71 and 1 Under Par
https://i.imgur.com/hhXUod8.png
Eduardo has a strong round. He does drop a Bogey half way through but also picks up an early and a late Birdie. Hos back nine is very strong as he picks up a further 4 Birdies to finish his round on a 67 and 5 Under Par,
https://i.imgur.com/AaE3Org.png
Grant starts his day with some very solid golf and goes 14 holes without an error but then drops a Double Bogey. Fortunately, he finishes with 2 Birdies to get his score back to 72 and Even Par for the day.

Group 4
Dave has a little bit of a mixture which contains a Double Bogey and a Bogey on the back nine, but the rest of his golf is steady and he picks up 2 Birdies on the front nine and 3 Birdies and an Eagle to card a score of 68 and 4 Under Par
https://i.imgur.com/OrWtJDB.png
Gavin, the tournament favourite starts well enough with solid golf and 2 Birdies on the front nine. His back nine though contains a Double Bogey before he steadies himself and picks up another Birdies as he ends the day on 71 and 1 Under Par
https://i.imgur.com/n1sth4y.png
Richard has a real up and down round as he struggles for consistency on both nines. A Bogey and 2 Double Bogeys, spoil his 2 Birdies and Eagle as he finishes his round off with a score of 73 and 1 Over Par

Group 5
Gary does not have too good a start as he drops 2 Bogeys on the front nine, but does get back a Birdie. His back nine is also not so good as he drops another 3 Bogeys, but manages another Birdies and finishes on 74 and 2 Over Par
https://i.imgur.com/JQREpRy.png
John struggles to start as he drops 2 Bogeys on the front nine. On the way home, he drops another 3 Bogeys but limits the damage as he manages to grab 2 Birdies as well, so finishes on 75 and 3 Over Par
https://i.imgur.com/r3O2LCO.png
Mark is ecstatic with his front nine as he blitzes the holes with 6 Birdies and 2 Eagles for a record front nine 10 Under Par…. But damage to his shoulder curtails that joy as the best he can manage on the back nine is Double Bogeys all the way through for a score of 80 and 10 Over Par. Lets hope the damage is healed by tomorrow.

Group 6
Jun has a very steady start with no errors on the front nine and a late Birdie as well. Going into the back nine he does drop 2 Bogeys which knock his score back to 73 and he cards a 1 Over Par for the first day.
https://i.imgur.com/xsKDdfi.png
Mike is quite solid but never exciting as he picks up a late Birdie on the front nine, but also a late Bogey. His back nine is better as it is error free with a Birdie to finish on 71 and 1 Under Par.
https://i.imgur.com/1cfHNjq.png
Marvin plays delightful golf for most of the round but does drop a Double Bogey at the start of the back nine, however the rest of the round contains 6 nice Birdies in total as he brings his score to a 68 and 4 Under Par for the first round. He has yet to have a round that is Over Par.

Group 7
Redewaan at last gets to grip with the course and although he drops a Bogey on the back nine, he picks up 3 Birdies and a nice Eagle to get his first round to 68 and 4 Under Par for the day. Could this be the turning point for him?
https://i.imgur.com/iivludk.png
David has a pretty standard round for him as he drops a Bogey early on but then grabs 2 Birdies amongst solid play to take his score tom71 and 1 Under Par. He just needs to be more consistent and drop the odd errors. Still in with a shout though.
https://i.imgur.com/MEXtC4R.png
It is a welcome back for Sverri after an enforced absence but one where he probably wishes had not come so early as he drops a Bogey and Double Bogey on the front nine and the same on the back nine. He does pick up a Birdie and finishes on 77 and 5 Over Par.

Group 8
Matthew plays some nice solid golf as he grabs a late Birdie on the front nine. His back nine, he drops a Bogey and a Double Bogey, but also picks up 5 lovely Birdies to get his score down to 69 and 3 Under Par. Now just drop the errors and he will score well.
https://i.imgur.com/p2vEmPd.png
Jorge comes in and shows how to play a steady game. No errors and 2 Birdies on the front nine and no errors with 5 Birdies on the back nine as he goes into the club house in the lead with a new Course Record of 65 and 7 Under Par.
https://i.imgur.com/eRc4QrZ.png
Tony cannot stay with that pace although he plays a mistake free front nine and 1 Birdie. His back nine, he drops a Bogey but gets that back with a late Birdie to end his day on 71 and 1 Under Par
https://i.imgur.com/kjE1I5v.png

|
Group 9
Tim reverses his current form right from the start with a very solid round and picks up a late Birdie on the front nine. This continues onto the back nine as he grabs a further 3 Birdies to get his score to 68 and 4 Under for the day. Could this be a turning point for him onto better things?
https://i.imgur.com/CxFZqrE.png
Jens plays a very steady round as he picks up a late Birdie on the front nine. As he turns for home, his play gets better and he grabs another 4 Birdies before the end to get a score of 67 and 5 Under Par and right up with the leaders.
https://i.imgur.com/gGQSENC.png
Keith starts his round with steady golf on the front nine but then drops a Bogey. This affects his concentration as he then drops 2 Double Bogeys on the back nine before he gets back to steady golf and 2 late Birdies to get back to 75 and 3 Over Par.

Group 10
Vin started his round with some very steady regulation play and then picked up a late Birdie just before the turn for home. Onto his back nine and he remained solid and picked up a further 3 Birdies to take him to a score of 68 and 3 Under Par for the day.
https://i.imgur.com/d1TUGkn.png
Chew came out next and had a little bit of a struggle as he dropped an early Bogey but then picked up 2 Birdies later on before the turn. On his back nine he dropped another early Bogey but grabbed a late Birdie to keep his score on 71 and 1 Under Par
https://i.imgur.com/oCXUqAJ.png
David started his round very steady and made no mistakes on the front nine. His back nine however started badly with a Double Bogey but then he played solid again and picked up a nice Eagle on the last to get his score back to 71 and 1 Under Par
https://i.imgur.com/Va5ifK4.png

Group 11
Stéphane began his round very well with an early and a late Birdie on the front nine. His back nine however he dropped a Double Bogey but soon got that back as he grabbed a further 4 Birdies to take his score to 68 and 4 Under Par for the day.
https://i.imgur.com/xxyg2ff.png
Greg was not so fortunate as he struggled a little. He dropped a Double Bogey on the front nine but got that back with 3 Birdies as well before the turn. His back nine was not as good as he droped a further 2 Double Bogeys which took his score to 74 and 2 Over Par for the round.
