Another half of Bahamian domination, as they control possession and stifle any chance of Puerto Rico getting past their impenetrable midfield...but once more that possession only produces a series of half-chances, as Ciuchi cuts a tight-lipped and frustrated figure on the touchline when the final whistle blows and AGAIN his side must go to Extra Time to try and make their way into the next round...

Australia now have a caretaker manager in charge and - while they are not conceding as many goals as they did for their Walkovers - they never look like getting anything from this game...indeed, it's more a question of how long they can keep Malaysia out for.
And in the 72nd minute, Ahmad manages to break through a rather weak attempt at playing an offside trap before finishing firmly past the Australian keeper to make it 0-1 and give Malaysia a 5 point lead at the top of the A League with just two games remaining...

Uzbekistan are clearly eager to confirm their promotion against long-time rivals Hong Kong...but try as they might they cannot breach the Hong Kong defence - and though there is a sense of resignation about Hong Kong's approach to this match (in that they clearly do not exert as much energy as their Uzbekistani opponents), they manage to compete ably and go toe-to-toe with Holmes' fired-up side.
Indeed, arguably the biggest moment of the match is when Khamrobekov over-extends himself in a tackle with Tan and has to be carried off the pitch in a stretcher! Hopefully it looked worse than it was and he will be available again soon...
That 0-0 draw leaves things 'as you were' in this group compared to how they stood at the start of the Match Day - although a win next time out for Uzbekistan against relegation-threatened Saudi Arabia will ensure that they promote with a game to spare!

At 0-1 the next goal in this game will be pivotal, with top spot on the group on offer for the winner here! Ultimately though, Russia never look likely to score despite a couple of half chances early in the half - and when Milinković-Savić puts together another mazy run that culminates in a powerful low strike through the goalkeeper's legs, the game is beyond Russia's reach.
It's 0-2 and Serbia even extend that lead late on, but Vlahović can only hit the post - as the away side move to 1st in the league thanks to this victory!

At 3-0 up this 2nd half was surely always going to be a case of how many goals Sri Lanka would end up with...and it is again Zarwan driving the performance as he completes his hat-trick to make it 4-0 for Fuerte's men!
That becomes 5-0 when Ishan scores a spectacular diving header that deflects off the post, before he adds another late on with a curling shot from just inside the area for an incredible 6-0 victory that moves Sri Lanka back to the promotion spot, while confirming Philippines' position in the relegation zone for now at least...

At 0-0 Poland always look threatening - and when Lewandowski gets 1v1 with Toom in the Estonian goal, most Estonian fans will fear the worst...but a stunning diving stop by Toom is enough to keep the scoreline at 0-0...
...and from there, it is all Estonia - with Sorga opening the scoring with a header from a brilliant Vassiljev cross. Ojamaa doubles the lead shortly afterwards with a goal that he bundles over the line after a scramble in the box!
That win puts Estonia level on points with Germany at the top - with Germany v the Netherlands now with the potential to put the leading trio just 1 point apart if the Dutch can win!!!

With a 0-1 lead, the Spanish elect to slow the pace a little and keep Iceland at bay with possession football - and that works, even with a chance for Spain to double their advantage that Ansu Fati fails to make the most of.
That means Spain are now 4 points clear of Luxembourg at the top, who they play next knowing that a win would guarantee them promotion back to the B League...

With a 1-0 lead, the Danes threaten Belgium early on in the half when Braithwaite gets 1v1 with Courtois - but the Belgian keeper stands his ground and lets out a mighty roar when he stops the Danish striker in his tracks with an excellent save!
That seems to lift Belgium, who start to get Lukaku more and more into the game - until in the 84th minute he manages to rise highest to nod home a de Bruyne free-kick into the box! That levels it up at 1-1, but back come Denmark in the dying seconds with an attack that sees Poulsen move into a space and lift his foot back to score the winner...
...but a flying tackle from Vertonghen out of nowhere turns the possession over to Belgium, who play the ball to E. Hazard, Trossard, Tielemans and finally Lukaku - and he makes no mistake with a deft strike to make it 1-2 and give Belgium the victory!!!
That puts Belgium back on top of the group, but they must now face free-scoring Portugal next...

Mexico have rested some key players for this match, which they might reasonably have expected to win comfortably against a Chilean side that have only a single point to their name...however, the Chileans dig in and manage to double their points tally for this season as they manage to keep the likes of Jiménez and Hernández out for the full 90 minutes!
Mexico are still in control at the top of the group - but will that gamble pay off when they face Argentina next (who are only a point behind them as it stands!)...?

The Welsh resistance here lasts until the 65th minute, when a jinking Foden run results in him side-footing the ball past Hennessey for 0-1...and from there the Welsh fans become somewhat quieter and the English go from strength to strength.
Kane starts to find a yard of space here and there and uses that to great effect to get in front of his marker and head home a Mount cross, before doubling his tally for the game with a brilliant half-volley from the edge of the box that gives the keeper no chance!
0-3 and England are now back on top of the group - though France do have a game in hand and will reclaim that with a win vs Sweden...before England v France in the next Match Day...!

A 0-0 result here is not bad for either of these two teams - and perhaps that is why both Turkey and Romania square up to one another with identical formations to limit any strategic damage either could do and end up finishing the match with honours even at 0-0.
That does mean Turkey drop their first points of the season, but still have a 5 point lead over Romania - though most anticipate that will be cut down by the Greeks in the near future! Romania meanwhile look like a good bet to retain A League status yet again - hopefully a little more comfortably than the past couple of seasons!!!

After leading 0-4 at half-time, Singapore can afford to relax vs China and slow their pace right down - that sees the game all but fizzle out as a contest, with Singapore hogging possession and taking no risks whatsoever.
That said, Ik Fandi does produce a moment of individual brilliance with a fast and winding run that takes him past no fewer than 3 Chinese defenders before lifting over the keeper and into the back of the net to seal a 0-5 win that is the perfect preparation for their top of the table clash with South Korea (who are just 2 points behind Chew Kai Wen's men...).

All the teams in yellow - basically 2nd place in all the A Leagues alongside 1st in the B Leagues.
EDIT - And 1 invitational place for the top ranked human team that are not in WC Qualifying. If there are no relevant teams then it will go to the highest ranked BOT not in WC Qualifying.

With a 0-2 advantage at half-time, the Germans sit back and invite the Dutch to try and break through their defences! Despite some significant pressure and decent strikes from the likes of Wijnaldum and Depay, they simply cannot find a way through...
...and so Germany hang on (despite creating very little themselves in the 2nd half) to take all 3 points and inflict the Netherlands' first loss of this Nations League campaign.
