Thanks, Dean Thats it for me in terms of pushing this season.
I really enjoy your post-race briefs btw :)

Yep. Since I retired from professional life I've been gaining some weight. Looks like that now, the weight was too much for the tree brunch ;(
By the way, congratulations to Dusan and Jessica.

Congratulations Dusan Ajzenbajser on 1st. Your third win of the last 5 races as you continue to build up steam, heading to the Master. You were 5th on the grid and stormed to 2nd after that opening lap, but really you were rarely in front for the whole race. Of the first 57 laps you only led for 12 of them. But on lap 57 Paulo did his final pit stop and you took the lead of the race, that is where you remained for the final 14 laps, beating Jessica by 6.6s. Only 7 races left and it looks like you will finish 2nd in this group
Congratulations Jessica Raione on 2nd. Well I think we have found our final promotee to the Master. She was a strong 4th on the grid but totally blew the start, falling back to 9th after lap 1. She recovered quickly and was able to even lead for a couple of laps before her first stop. She never looked like winning the race though, and only led for the 3 laps. She came out from her last stop in 2nd and seemed destined to finish there, but then she got around the tiring Paulo, 5 laps from home
Congratulations Paulo Neves on 3rd. Well a strange strategy, opting to go for the 3 stopper. One of only 2 in the top 30 to try this method. And it nearly came off. It gave you pole but your driver was a sleep at the start and you fell back to 4th. But lap 9 you found the lead again and you led for 30 of the next 47 laps. You then did your final pit stop, came back out in 2nd and was rapidly closing in on Dusan. You got to within 1.2s of him, but that was it, you had run out of puff. No energy for the last 5 laps, allow Jessica to pass you
Well done to all the others in the points
WIN: Dusan Ajzenbajser (third win of the season) POLE: Paulo Neves (sixth pole this season) FASTEST LAP: Alexandra Silva (first time EVER, a Pro fastest lap) BEST PIT STOP: Imre Antos (fourth one this season) BEST OVERTAKER: Vagelis Iakovou (passed 11 cars)
Is this season over yet? I'm just going through the motions here plodding around in the back 20. This is no fun back here. I used to enjoy watching the races but at the moment I just seem to be watching the top 5 more

Congratulations Paulo Neves on 1st. Well looks like the old Paulo is back, total dominance of this race. Race win, pole, and fastest lap all taken out by him. He had pole but a tardy start had him drop back to 3rd after that opening lap. Only 2 laps later he was back in front and led until his first stop. He came back out in 5th but only 4 laps later he was leading again. He was never headed again, and remained in front for the final 45 laps. He cruised over the finish line, arm out the window, with a very comfortable 51s win
Congratulations Alexandra Silva on 2nd. You had scored points in the last 3 races and already had 10 points in the back and retention secured. Maybe you had a good match but an outstanding effort here. This is only your 62nd race and this is your first season in a Pro group. You was 3rd on the grid and you was always up there. You got to 2nd with still 22 laps to go, but Paulo was nowhere to be seen. And in the end you finished a very comfortable 8s ahead of Stephane. Your first ever Pro podium
Congratulations Stéphane Rombaux on 3rd. And here we have another manager playing their first Pro season as well. Ten races in and your best finish has been 11th which you have done 3 times this season. You had no points and things weren't looking good, but then your driver's favourite track popped up. A good qualifying got you 10th on the grid but a blistering start had you up to 2nd after only 4 laps. You would eventually lose that 2nd spot but a podium here always looked like being on the cards. Your first podium, and with 6 points in the bank, I reckon retention is done as well
Well done to all the others in the points
WIN: Paulo Neves (sixth win of the season) POLE: Paulo Neves (seventh pole this season) FASTEST LAP: Paulo Neves (third one this season) BEST PIT STOP: Dusan Ajzenbajser (first one this season) BEST OVERTAKER: Kirsty Ridley (passed 12 cars)
When things are bad, then they just got worse here. I continue to downgrade the car to save some pennies and get ready for a development driver to build from the Amateurs. Hence I was really struggling just to stay in the top 30, probably might have finished 28th. But no, the game decides to give me a puncture, forcing me to retire from the game 10 laps from home. Come on let's finish this season already

Dean, didn’t you get a decent driver for ama already?
|
|
|
No still have 12 races with this Pro driver
So I don't have to pay so much to break his contract, I will get an Amateur driver around race 15. At least that way you are not bidding for a driver in that crazy market madness at the start of every season
|
|
|
Thank you Dean. And Congratulations to Alexandra e Stéphane for the podium.
I had the luckiest random ever. At lap 51, my car strted smoking and went to the pit. But I had programmed a pit at lap 51. This resulted only in a pit 8 or 9 seconds longer!

|
|
Thank you Dean. Thank you Paulo and congratulations for another peaceful victory!

I hope your families get well quickly, it's a terrible thing this covid. Luckily where I am it's been taken seriously and community transmission is at zero now. Though I wonder what the future holds in the way of overseas visitors. Stay well people, let's hope no one has to miss out on any more races because of it.

Congratulations Paulo Neves on 1st. BORING!!!! Oh come on mate, you could have raced the whole race on wets and made the result a bit more interesting. You had pole but spun the wheels at the start and had dropped to 4th after the opening lap. You quickly recovered though and had regained the lead on lap 6. From there you just slowly edged further ahead with every lap. In the end you won by a whopping 1 minute and 45 seconds. We have 5 races to go and you have a 27 point back to Dusan. You are right on the edge of winning your 4th Pro championship in your illustrious career. And now we have your favourite track next race. We are all doomed!!!!
Congratulations Dusan Ajzenbajser on 2nd. Once again another honest race from you. You tried hard all race but was nowhere near a match to Paulo. You was 5th on the grid and a brilliant start had you leading the race even before we completed that first lap. But hopes of a close race was dashed when Paulo easily got around you on lap 6 and disappeared into the distance. You had plenty of pressure from Jessica and later in the race from Vagelis, but you certainly done well to make your car very wide when they tried to pass you. You sat in 2nd for 70 of the remaining 74 laps and is clearly appearing 2nd strongest manager in this group
Congratulations Vagelis Iakovou on 3rd. You were 1 of only 2 in this group that are using the Conti tyre and I thought that was why your terrific performance here. But no the temperatures were too cold for that. It must have just been a well matched car. You had no points for the season coming into this race, and you were 24th on the grid. But you were fast. You just stormed through the field and passed an incredible 20 cars. probably a bit unlucky it wasn't 21. You finished 0.5s behind Dusan. By far your best race of the season! You now have 6 points for the season, and I reckon that should guarantee you return here next season
Well done to all the others in the points
WIN: Paulo Neves (seventh win of the season) POLE: Paulo Neves (eighth pole this season) FASTEST LAP: Paulo Neves (fourth one this season) BEST PIT STOP: Jas Fraser (first one this season) BEST OVERTAKER: Vagelis Iakovou (passed 20 cars)
Oh this is no fun, racing in the back half of the field. I knew I would struggle to finish in the top 20 and that proved the case here. Come let these next 5 races finish quickly, so I can end these poor results. Time to have some fun with the Amateurs for awhile

Congratulations József Szabó on 1st. Well coming into the race you had only finished in the points once this season. A strong 6th place in R11, and that gave you 3 points, but that would not be enough for retention. Somehow with a driver that sits only 34th best on that OA list in this group, you have pulled of an incredible win. Your previous best qualifying was a distant 11th, but here you was 2nd on the grid. You never during the whole race, did you fall lower than that. You hit the lead early but it wasn't until mid race you took full control, leading for the final 26 laps and beating Paulo by 20s. But you are now 18M in the red
Congratulations Paulo Neves on 2nd. Driver's favourite track but definitely did not push here. Maybe some parts were on the limit but I reckon must have raced with 0CT. You claimed pole yet again, but as usual a tardy start, and you were 5th after the opening lap. Only 3 laps later though and you were 3rd but had to wait for the 1 stoppers to pit before you moved to 2nd. From there you just followed Jozsef around the track, never really threatening him. And in the end you finished 18s ahead of Brad. Now you have a 30 point lead back to Dusan, with 4 races to go. I can see the officials polishing that trophy
Congratulations Brad Marshall on 3rd. You are the highest ranked manager here on those Yoko tyres, and you have had a very solid season, in the points in 5 races. Here you was 3rd on the grid and a blistering start had you leading after that first lap. Unfortunately that was for just the 3 laps, and the further the race went the more spots you lost. You was no match for Jozsef or Paulo, but you had everyone else covered. In the end you crossed that finish line 32s ahead of Dusan
Talking about Dusan!! I wonder if he is promoting? I just see that he is only 4M in the black. Just a little warning for the manager that may finish in 4th in this group at the end of the season
Well done to all the others in the points
WIN: József Szabó (first win of the season) POLE: Paulo Neves (ninth pole this season) FASTEST LAP: József Szabó (first one this season) BEST PIT STOP: Paulo Neves (fourth one this season) BEST OVERTAKER: Ayrton Pasquini (passed 14 cars)
Well same old same for me once again. I am trying to stay deep in that relegation zone so I can rebuild from the Amateurs. I am currently 4 below that red line, but we have so many here that are not managing their finances too well. We currently have 7 above me that are in the red

Thanks Dean. And Congratulations to József for the win and Brad for the podium.
I was not running with 0 CT! I was running with wet setup, because I believed that a good part of the race would be at rain. That slowed me down a lot. And, the high temperatures, favoured a lot those with Contimental tyres. I know because I used them for a couple of seasons. In fact, I think that Vagelis Iakovou, also in Contimental, could have finished in the podium if he didn't had a random at lap 25, that put him out of race when he was leading.
|
|
|
Congrats to József on the win and Paulo for P2. It's reassuring to know Paulo was running some CT here because it would be embarrassing if he truly had that kind of raw pace on 0 CT. :-p
It was a real shame for Vagelis getting bit by the random bug in this Conti race. Indeed, he would have pushed me off the podium and he deserved to do so.
Dean, I am starting to get concerned over Dusan's balance. Please stay positive!

Dusan has been playing this game for 56 seasons, just eclipsing the 10 year mark. Only 2 here have raced more races than Dusan, but the best he has done was way back in S48 when he finished 5th, just missing promotion by 9 points
He has never raced in the Master, and really, do you want to go there with less than 10M. It would be a very big struggle for survival if he does

Congratulations Paulo Neves on 1st. SEASON 78, PRO 7 champion has been crowned. Three races to go, and Paulo has unreachable lead!!!!!!! Most around you went with the 1 stopper here, but you thought the 2 stopper was best. So because of the less fuel, it probably gave you pole, as well as the fastest lap of the race. You led for all but 1 lap of your first stint, coming back out in 5th. But once the 1 stoppers pitted you took over the lead, and you were never headed again. A very comfortable 20s win over Christoph
Congratulations Christoph Schöning on 2nd. He only got this driver after race 4, and it looks like he could be a good find. He was only 6th on the grid here but an awesome start, had him up to 2nd after only 2 laps. And that is where he sort of remained for the rest of the race. He did lead once when Paulo pitted, but that was only for 6 laps, until Chris did his one and only stop. He came back out in 2nd and it was a terrific battle between him and Vagelis for the remaining laps. But Chris held him at bay and beat him by 0.4s
Congratulations Vagelis Iakovou on 3rd. He was only 11th on the grid, but he too had a cracker of a start. He had stormed up to 4th after only 3 laps and kept the pressure on those above him. He had a delayed 1st stop and that allowed him to lead for 1 lap before he pitted for his one and only stop. He came back out in 3rd but despite trying everything, just could not get around Chris. He was always going to finish on the podium and ended up beating Jessica back in 4th by 22s
Well done to all the others in the points
WIN: Paulo Neves (eighth win of the season) POLE: Paulo Neves (tenth pole this season) FASTEST LAP: Paulo Neves (fifth one this season) BEST PIT STOP: Dusan Ajzenbajser (second one this season) BEST OVERTAKER: Ayrton Pasquini (passed 18 cars)
Well it's good see I can still race some decent races, despite racing with 0CT and a very lowly car. I always seem to qualify in the low teens and then fall out of the top 20. But not today! Still I can't wait to drop back to the Amateurs and come back bigger and stronger

Congratulations Paulo Neves on 1st. Well after clinching the championship, I thought maybe 0CT here and save some pennies for the Master, but probably not here, going by another strong performance. You first half though was really average, 3rd on the grid but you had plummeted to 9th when you pitted for the dry tyres. I reckon must have had a full dry set up, because you stormed home in the dry. Hitting the lead for the first time with only 11 laps to go, then holding on tenaciously as Brad tried to find a way around you
Congratulations Brad Marshall on 2nd. The longer it rained the better you looked. You had pole and led for every lap in the wet. When you pitted for the dry tyres you had a 10s lead over Dusan back in 2nd. You returned to the track and you still had a 20s lead back to Paulo. With 20 laps to go, Dusan passed you for the lead but that was only for 6 laps before Dusan started going backwards with a heavily smoking car. But in the end Paulo was way too strong in the dry
Congratulations Fernando Pallas on 3rd. You had 7 points coming into this race, and retention did seem already done, but you have certainly guaranteed that here now. You had a strong spot of 9th on the grid and you never fell back from that. You had got to 4th after pitting for the dry tyres and it did appear that was the best you could do. But you claimed the podium with 2 laps to go, as the unlucky Miguel pitted on the second last lap
Well done to all the others in the points
WIN: Paulo Neves (ninth win of the season) POLE: Brad Marshall (second pole this season) FASTEST LAP: Paulo Neves (sixth one this season) BEST PIT STOP: Paulo Neves (fifth one this season) BEST OVERTAKER: Ayrton Pasquini (passed 18 cars) Again!!!!, that is 36 cars in 2 races
Well at least now my results are now getting a little better. I think many have stopped pushing and at least now I am on a more even playing field. Still just the 2 races left in Pro for me now, and really I cant get back to the Amateurs fast enough
Started 11th Finished 14th

Congratulations Brad Marshall on 1st. Finally after finishing 2nd three times this season, you collect your first win of the season here. You was a strong 3rd on the grid but opted to start with the wet tyres. You plummeted all the way back to 27th before the rain started. But just 4 laps later you was leading the race and opening up a good gap with every passing lap. In the end you won by a massive 2 minutes and 8 seconds. I have had many races in this game, and I have never seen a winner win by more than 2 minutes before. Talk about an easy win!!!!
Congratulations Paulo Neves on 2nd. It was a 50/50 shot as to what tyres to start with, you went with the dry tyres, and unfortunately that was not the winning way. You had pole but the rain came too early, you pitted for wet tyres and came back out in 5th. You quickly dropped to 6th but then you started moving forward again. You finally snared 2nd with only 7 laps to go, but Brad had already lapped you, and was not too far away from lapping you twice. It does appear though, here you did race with very low risks, as you prepare for the Master
Congratulations Dusan Ajzenbajser on 3rd. And you was one of only 3 in the whole field that opted to start the race with the wet tyres. You was 4th on the grid but had tumbled all the way down to 29th before the rain started. But just like Brad, you stormed through the field as most of the field pitted for wet tyres. You was up to 2nd but you quickly learnt, you was no match for Brad. But still a strong 2nd, you can't complain about that. But NO, only 7 laps to go, and smoke started pouring from your car, you quickly dropped back to 3rd and only just hung on in the end to collect another podium, only 1s ahead of Quentin
Well done to all the others in the points
WIN: Brad Marshall (first win of the season) POLE: Paulo Nevesl (eleventh pole this season) FASTEST LAP: Martin Park (first one this season) BEST PIT STOP: Paulo Neves (sixth one this season) BEST OVERTAKER: Javier Caceres (passed 21 cars)
I have had enough. Just the one race left in Pro for me

I don't think that's true. The weather was a tricky one and very lottery-like. It could have gone very wrong for me. :-p

Congratulations to those promoting:
Paulo Neves: Group Champion and dominated from the start winning the first 3 races and never taking the foot of the pedal from there. An incredible 10 wins for the season and only missing the podium in race 5. In the last 34 seasons you have only got to the Master twice, only scoring 3 points, and then 2 points in each of those season. You really look so much stronger this time around
Dusan Ajzenbajser: You had a very slow start to the season, only 4 points from the first 4 races, but then you really stormed home. You collect 3 wins for the season and reached the podium on 7 occasions. Money was always tight but you dramatically improved that in the back half. You have had 57 seasons in this game, and never reached Master, until now
Jessica Raione: I didn't have you on the list of possible promotees at the start of the season, but you certainly proved me wrong here. You was never able to get a win this season, but you finished 2nd three times. This was your 36th season in this game, and you did reach Master, back in S68, but you was not able to score a race point. I just hope this time around, you learn't something from that experience
Good luck to you all, I will be following your progress closely
So that is it for me here guys and girls. I have been in this group for 9 seasons but just cannot get into the Master. I have opted to drop back to the Amateurs and rebuild. Hopefully come back bigger and stronger, and have another shot at reaching the Master.
See you on the race track

Well it's over. Congratulations to Dusan and Jessica for the promotions and good luck to all the others.
Dean, I'm going to miss your race reviews. A Special good luck to you and to my friend Jas in Ama. Hope to see you guys soon in the race track
