Simple question: when did you first see an F1 race and if so when did you visit a GP for the first time?

I can't remember the first time I watched F1.
I never visited a F1 GP, but every year I go to the Race of Morocco. First event was in 2009 where the only principal race was the WTCC ones. Now I attend the RoM every year.
Now I'm attending races as a race far. I'd LOVE attending them as a race engineer in the future :)

I don't remember my first F1 race on TV. I loved cars as a kid and watched any race whenever I could, so that all runs together in my memory.
First race that I've seen was the Grand Prix at Circut of the Americas in Austin last year. A big reason that I wanted to go last year was to see (and hear) the last season of the V8's. Which now looks to have been a good decision. The scream that those engines made was unvelievable. When they started up in the paddock (about a mile from my seat) it sent chills down your spine. And when they drove by at full chat you could feel it in every bone in your body.
I'm sad that that era has passed. But still plan on making the GP again this year.

Well, I can't remember the first time on TV. But I'll never forget my first "Live visit" : it was Spa '93, so amazing and different from TV broadcasts (smells, sounds, ground vibrations...).

First tv race was back in 88, cant remember which one. Was hooked from then on though.
First Live race was Silverstone 8 years ago. 30+ degrees in temp, World Cup on the big screen, BMW Sauber Pit part with all the lovely models they hired then and Robert Kubica showcasing himself in the BMW touring car.
Not so much entertainment at the tracks anymore, but ill be there this year again

In 2001, but don't remember which one, as I was still a young, young kid.
I usually don't miss races since 2004 or 2005.

On TV I used to watch the BBC Grand Prix programs back in the early 80s but the first race I properly remember was Monaco '83 when Keke started on slicks and made everyone look slow: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8wkB6sLUT50
The first live race was San Marino in '98, an amazing atmosphere at an amazing place.

First race I remember was Monaco 1977, Niki Lauda spent half the race trying to overtake some guy (Wiki says it was Jody Scheckter), but the latter won the race. Also remember thinking that a circuit where the fastest car/driver was unable to overtake was something that needed revising.

First tv race was in 1990. or 1991. I don't remember what race was, but i do remember yellow helmet of Senna and red and white car with Marlboro commercial on rear end. That was love on first sight with Mclaren and F1. Unfortunately, did not see any live race yet.

First race I have a vague memory of is the 2002 French GP. I can recall watching the 2003 Brazilian GP, and writing a report about in school the next day (complete with a 6 year old's artistic interpretation of Webber's crash).
Never been to a Grand Prix yet

My dad used to keep me next to the tv during most f1 races pretty much ever since I was born, so I don't really have a clear answer for this question. Apparently the first sentence I ever uttered out loud was, roughly translated, "Mika Häkkinen dwiwes fowmula." - talk about successful brainwashing...
'99 is the first season I have clear memories of, anyway.

I can't tell wich one in TV was my first watched GP, but the firs I cleary remember of watching was the 1997 Argentine GP, with a start crash between Michael Schumacher, Coulthard and Barrichello, when I was 8 yo. But surely I watched someones before.
I never went to the Brazilian F1 GP, but went to the 2nd São Paulo Indy 300 GP in 2011, of IndyCar, street couse in São Paulo "Sambodromo" area (place wich held the city Carnival Parades). Unfortunality the GP is no longer held.

First one I have clear memories of watching it on TV was Monza in 1998. Schumacher won after overtaking Hakkinen shortly after Coulthard`s engine blew up.

First F1 race I watched live on TV was the 2003 Brazilian GP (that race would be enough to make anybody a life-long F1 fan), I had watched WRC highlights for years before that though. The first and only F1 race I've been to was the 2011 British GP. It pissed down an hour before the start but only at certain parts of the track. Fernando Alonso won with Vettel 2nd, Webber ignored team orders but still wasn't quick enough to overtake at the end.

The first one that I remember vividly was 2000 Suzuka when Schumi claimed his first championship for Ferrari. The battle with Mika was immense! Sadly I hadn't been to any races yet :/
