Quote ( Janne Väänänen @ June 21st 2012,22:59:09 ) The Nemuno Ziedas track actually is quite epic, big elevation and very fast corners, Oval aside maybe it will be the very quickest laptime in GPRO? ;D I spent many hours on this track my early days. Used for circuit racing and hillclimbing races. Lap times were from around 1:36 for S-2000 to 1:16 for F-1600 before remodeling.

Quote ( Cliff Rajgopaul @ June 22nd 2012,14:56:55 ) I second that. Earlier the better, thanks
What would you say if I tell you that I already did the calendar for S33? :) And maybe that I'm doing it then also for S34 and S35? :)

Then you shouldn't tell us or we'd all rage quit when we hear about those multiple Oval track seasons you have planned :p

Quote ( Kevin Parkinson @ June 22nd 2012,15:59:21 ) those multiple Oval track seasons you have planned :p
Oh, hell, I totaly forgot about the Ovals... have to change that now :D
Quote ( Virgis Lyss @ June 22nd 2012,15:25:32 ) Lap times were from around 1:36 for S-2000 to 1:16 for F-1600 before remodeling.
What exactly was done? I would be happy for some hints about the laptime to be honest :D

I didn't expect a calendar very soon.
And yes,a very good calendar.New Lithuvanian track, after the champion Justinas retired.Seems a bit weird for me.

Quote ( Janarthanan Siva Kumar @ June 22nd 2012,16:04:46 ) New Lithuvanian track, after the champion Justinas retired.Seems a bit weird for me. This means, that if you want your country track to GPRO, get manager to Elite, let him/her win and let him/her retire :P

Quote ( Stefan Voggenreither @ June 22nd 2012,16:01:23 ) What exactly was done? I would be happy for some hints about the laptime to be honest :D OK, I've checked the latests. The changes were just to increase safety, as the track itself was pure extreme. Current results for A-2000 (similar to S2000) are still around 1:36-1:37 for the best laps, fellow champ drives BMW M3 Open class in 1:26 range, Formula1600 discontinued. Then I'd suppose (if we forget all the hillclimbing blind turns :) ) for F1 it could be in 1:02-1:03. P=11, H=16, A=14 from my experience. Edit: here's some results AGM Kit Car 1:18.802 Porsche 996 GT3 1:19.407 BMW M3 GTR 1:22.082 those are qualification toppers If someone wants to see it live: http://goo.gl/maps/Qww2
Btw, there's another LT track waiting in the line :) 1000km Omnitel Racing, taking place in Palanga, track is done on a highways junction, 3km lap, speedy and engine&brakes wear hungry :D
|
|
|
Quite happy with the calendar .Gives me time to assess my next season. Not a bad test track for a season that requires 10 testing sessions.:)
|
|
|
looks like quite a tough season for the engines there at first glance...not too many low wear tracks. Testing circuit makes up for that though. you cant have all the cake you want I guess.

80 laps in the Lithunian track Is this the Oval's sister? Just by looking at the track the shape is only a bit different.
I'm post 101
|
|
|
hopefully the oval's kinder and not so ugly sister :)

Low number of corners, which are all practically high speed corners, very short lap => F-1 cars with their amazing downforce would probably drive the lap in 50-55s in my opinion.

1 FT for my pilot! :D (Melbourne)

Thanx Virgis for the information :)

I think, it will have to wait a long time (or it will be only set as testtrack in between seasons as drivers can make holiday then at Palanga :D ). First of we add tracks for countries without a track yet or new current tracks on the F!-Calendar.

Lithuanian track just when I quit....damn it :D ok, but I will be back in some seasons to race in it! :) And yes, calendar seems like most awesome ever, hehe :D
|
|
|
Oh this is nice, LT track! :) Can't wait to race there :))

Look into my previous post with a Porche's time. This one is pure racing unit, with just a little bit less horses than F1, sharpened exactly for racing, driven by Dapshas. And, for example, on the picture in wiki turns 1&6 would require at most 3rd gear, especially 6th . Surface in there has negative angle, sliding the car outside. So not that speedy.

Good calendar and very good test track .

I love the way people get so excited about the new calendar, as if they are actually going to visit the countries and tracks in person :D

Except for the South American tracks I have seen and raced on all the tracks.:)

Quote ( Andrei Ciuchi @ June 21st 2012,20:53:18 ) Probably that one. Wiki says it's the only racing circuit in Lithuania.
Yes, it is. Kaunas is near to this track.

Quote ( Norbert Módi @ June 22nd 2012,19:41:21 ) Yes, it is. Kaunas is near to this track.
Already been confirmed yesterday by Stefan that it's that one. :)

Quote ( Stefan Voggenreither @ June 22nd 2012,17:18:00 ) new current tracks on the F1-Calendar. Does that mean the Circuit of the Americas is in the works for GPRO?

Quote ( Daniel Mason @ June 22nd 2012,19:44:28 ) Does that mean the Circuit of the Americas is in the works for GPRO?
No, not yet. That track is on the F1 calendar of the next year, so no need to hurry already :)

Quote ( Andrei Ciuchi @ June 22nd 2012,19:50:20 ) The Austin track is actually on the calendar for this F1 season, Stefan.
But the Austin track is according to Wiki the "United States Grand Prix", whereas the "Grand Prix of America" is New Jersey... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2013_Formula_One_season
|
|
|
Oh, my bad, I keep confusing those two tracks ... :)
Or not ... Circuit of the Americas is the Austin track. :)
