To be honest, having this many 'lottery' races just proves how random the forecast generation is. Not too bad a thing, in my view.

A game that does not allow you to make real-time changes to account for randomness should include a lot less randomness.

1-2 full wets
12-14 full dry

That is how a season should look...

Just curious...

what, precisely, is it that's wrong with 'random' wet races. What's the actual disadvantage* people feel they are subjected to that others aren't?

*by disadvantage I mean tactically ie. not the effect of known driver stats / tyre performance which are things conciously chosen before any given race.

I really don't like "lotteries", but I think that if there wasn't this random factor, game would become boring.

However, in this season, there has been clearly an abuse of lotteries, and the admins should pay some attention to this. But, as once a wise man said: "chance favors only the prepared mind"

Because it's difficult to motivate yourself to put the time and effort into your setup/strategy knowing that if the weather change comes a lap too early or too late that it all goes up in smoke, and your race is over.

It's not that it's unfair, it's that it makes the game seem a boring waste of time.

if you start the race on the right tyres, with the right setup based on the information provided...I don't see how anyone starting a race on the right tyres and staying on the right tyres for the race entirety is entering a lottery.

I like the 2-3 lotteries idea, but full wets and full drys can vary by season.
2-3 lotteries
5-6 full wets
8-10 full dry

We need a reason for people to select drivers good in the rain and consistent rain/dry conditinos can be planned for.

I do not see complaints about disadvantages. The forums always mention this is a strategy game. Most of the time the better manager should win. It can be frustrating to plan out your best scenario and have it ruined based on nothing a guess. I stopped playing risk because I wanted strategy to play a greater roll in my war playing games. Having said that there is a place for lottery races, I just think it should be a smaller roll. (And I may still play risk on occasion)
