Quote ( Roland Postle @ August 3rd 2012,11:40:28 ) How to get a really cheap driver (foolproof): 1) Find a driver you like and offer him $1 salary 2) If he doesn't accept then next race offer him $2 salary 3) Still no dice? Try $3 the next race and so on
Tips: - The driver you're bidding on might sometimes be snapped up by someone else who isn't as careful with their money as you. No worries! - just find another driver you like and start again from $1 - You can also speed up this process by bidding on up to 4 drivers per race. Many balls in the air at once and all that
I guess this worked with Michele :P

If you'd like to make your prediction come true you can always lower your car level for a while and persuade a few other former champions to do the same, then of course I'd be happy to oblige :)

Quote ( Shoaib Mohamed @ August 9th 2014,04:09:14 ) I see that Finn has purchased tin foil hats for the rest of his team too :{D It wasn't even me who pointed it out. Blame me for recruiting people who don't like cheats.Quote ( Kuba Szajbel @ August 9th 2014,12:56:55 ) Real or not Bernard Envain existed just to prepare a driver for Sho, anyone claiming otherwise either fools himself or others. Thing is, either Sho has a really good friend in France who decided to waste 24h of his precious lifetime raising a driver for him, or he cheated creating second accout just for this purpose. Please, allow me not to share my opinion publicly :) Spot on. Kuba, he'd be torn apart if he wasn't popular in the forums. He's got mates here which is the only reason people are being willfully ignorant.
If someone from Scirocco ever did that I'd just force them to leave. Because they've clearly cheated haven't they

The thing about him is he didnt even race the 1st 4 races of that season even though he was busy hiring drivers. Its surprising that someone who cant find the qualify button can lower driver salaries... Then he's gone after a while (about a month)...

It's so painfully obvious to see what happened here that this sort of talk Quote ( Florencia Caro @ August 9th 2014,02:51:44 ) To suspect is natural, and is healthy: happens when you do not understand things, an makes you feel curious, makes you investigate... I find insulting to my (and not just my) intelligence.

More insulting that Shoaib doesn't care and is just being cocky about it. He hasn't even denied it.
I just wish the da policy was fixed. At the moment, even clear evidence of cheating like this can not be banned. There has to be a point where common sense takes over from technology.

Quote ( Finn Shaw-McIver @ August 9th 2014,14:13:00 ) I just wish the da policy was fixed
What would you do then? It would be quite hard to fix that. It's like drugs. It's banned in alot of countries, but there are still alot of users.

Quote ( Mehdi El Fathy @ August 9th 2014,14:41:14 ) What would you do then? Well when it's as clear a case as this he should just be banned. But maybe there should be a panel or something. Of admins and some long-term players.
|
|
|
Well we'll see what's going to happen.
|
|

Mehdi, hiring the cheapest driver on the market isn't a crime. Therefore, nothing will happen ;{)

Quote ( Mehdi El Fathy @ August 9th 2014,15:03:56 ) Well we'll see what's going to happen.
The evidence will probably be seen as circumstancial. I don't see anything happening.
If I was an admin I would dig further into bidding history (if possible), if there was more than one link between Shoalb and these accounts, (i.e he was outbid on the other 'cooked' driver or something similar ) then I would say its beyond that.
|
|
|
Yes hiring that driver isn't a crime. But how it happened with clearly suspicious account is rather weird.
I just hope for you that this is a pure coincidence.

Whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty?
|
|

OK, enough. Lets change the subject.
Guys, who do you think out of 4 other that bidded would sign the most expensive TD if Sho had no money to afford him? ;)
I think Golovanov was the closest!

I guess it was his Christmas/New Year gift!

Summarising this thread in the last 48 hours for a TL;DR.
Something fishy happened, insults thrown, jokes attempted to be made.
Aaaand how is this different from a normal start of the season in elite?
|
|
|
Jay, that principle doesn't apply in GPRO :{)
Keeping aside the snideness of your post Kuba, it's funny you mention Golovanov favorably, given his past :{P
|
|
|
I don't see your point Kuba...
Compared with a driver starting his salary at 500k in amateur you only save around 73millions salary worth in 8 seasons...that's peanuts..still enough for a good old TD...

Quote ( Jay O`dowd @ August 9th 2014,15:47:24 ) Whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty?
Would it be an evidence to you if he had at least 2 of those drivers shortlisted or if he had put offers for at least 2 of those drivers?
Because this might be easy to check for the admins...

This is a good moment for Joe to appear with his "Conspiracy" meme ;P

Quote ( Daniel Comalada @ August 9th 2014,16:29:20 ) Would it be an evidence to you if he had at least 2 of those drivers shortlisted or if he had put offers for at least 2 of those drivers?
Maybe the drivers were removed from the shortlist a while ago, or just now..

Contrary to most people in the forum's belief, Finn is actually an intelligent person.
Share a team with him and you'll realise. There is a brain in there :p

Yes :)
Nah seriously, Finn put together a great team. I'm not doing auto-asslicking, but the way he recruits manager is a very smart one.

Quote ( Florencia Caro @ August 7th 2014,17:03:02 ) Are you threatening us Mr Senler? :D
Quote ( Roland Postle @ August 7th 2014,21:42:04 ) Toygun MO: 1) Slag off Michis 2) Choose Michis 3) When r1 ends begin slagging off Michis in preparation for next season
I smile at all the mind games :) Toygun loves to stir that big stick in the cauldron during each reset to taunt the opposition into a false sense of security or approval of any tyre other than the one he chooses :)
Clever, Mr T. :)
