Any idea why my Q2 times are always much slower than my practice and Q1 times? I know fuel is a factor but it seems the other drivers don't have as big of gap as I do.

I'm using the setup for Q2 as I do in Q1 and I've selected push a little and push a lot with similar results.

Thanks,

Daniel

Rookie drivers lack many skills. As the driver gets trained and promotes to higher tiers, those skills start going up and the driver gets more consistent, both in qualy and during the race.

The guys around you might make more stops and thus using less fuel in Q2. That helps their Q2 times.

There are also certain driver skills which reduce the loss from more fuel on board and ideal setup for Q2 is a bit different if the temps differ (but that should not matter much).

Would it be a good idea to bid for a better driver next season?

I'm using the setup for Q2 as I do in Q1

As optimal car setup is affected by weather conditions, there is also a slight difference between Q1 and Q2 optimal car setup.

Edit: sorry, did not read Joachim's post carefully

Would it be a good idea to bid for a better driver next season?

It's always a good idea to try out different drivers with different skills, and see what areas are improved or worsened.
You don't even have to wait until next season - but keep in mind you have to compensate your current driver if you get a new one. Check the Help section for more info on that.

For rookie just hunt for a Driver with this conditions:
*High Concentration and Talent
*Some Stamina.
* Few exp.
