You can't just act as a vigilante even if you think you're in the right. This is why people perceive cyclists as pretentious, they don't pay road tax and act as if they know better than everyone else.

Cyclist: does the right thing
Dougie: "Well guess I gotta hate now!"
Dont be pathetic. This twat hides round the corner to pounce on motorists. What about the cyclists? Does this knob patrol the streets righting wrongs, or does he just pick on soft targets. The guy is obviously begging for the kicking of his life. He is an obnoxious tool.

Definitely the wrong title.
This video is clearly showing an asshole.
But that asshole is the driver of the car.
Oh right, so the masked avenger wasn't behaving like an asshole then? ffs.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K_aC7w7NkKY here is the same end of a bell. this time thinking its ok to cycle down the pavement when there is a cycling lane. The young lad at the side of the street had him spot on.
If it's the wrong side of the road, the cyclist is right. He did the right thing, the driver in the car was being an ass.
I see both of you hypocritical, judgemental people chose to ignore the cyclist doing the exact same thing. Why did you do that? why did this guy, who I shall refer to as Thrush going forward, not even look at the cyclist, or chastise her? As I said, no wonder everyone hates cyclists.
Quote ( Andrei Harnicu @ July 10th 2021,20:37:18 )
He may miss a cyclist doing the same, but at least the cyclist doesn't try to effectively drive over him
No, because he chose not to throw himself in front of the cyclist. Why? because Thrush is a pompous, self-righteous, hypocritical end of a bell. we all know that though.

Agreed, the cyclist is the entitled asshole here. Just like the car driver in the other video.
How do you see these two incidents differently? 2 entitled assholes, flouting the rules, getting all puffy when called on it.
If the driver was driving on the wrong side of the road then he was either doing it knowingly, potentially endangering others, or wasn't aware that he was doing it. Either way alerting him of that fact was the right thing to do.
I personally don't see what the cyclist did wrong but regardless of whether you think he did the right thing or not, we should be able to agree that the driver did the wrong thing here, or am I missing something?

Just check the first comment for some clarification and that bike lane has a bus stop in the middle of it tbh ;)))

It's very simple, really. With power comes responsibility. The number of cyclists getting killed by cars is still a good amount higher than the number of car drivers getting killed by cyclists.

I don't. Thrush is just being a twat in both of them.

There is alerting someone about making a mistake, and there is being a complete tool about it. Btw, correct me if I am wrong, but isn't it only a policeman who can stop traffic? net traffic wardens and certainly now arrogant know alls.

True, but see these arrows just before and after the busstop. Those arrows are pointing cyclists to go around the other side of said busstop. Hence, he did exactly the same thing the driver did in the other video, driving where they had no business driving and got called out for it.... same shit, different vehicle. ;)

Only really for the length of the bus stop. thrush carries on over the pavement.

Ok, so now he makes judgements on the technicalities of the law. A promotion from policeman for him eh? Same thing, him riding or whateverthefeck you do on that idiotic thing he is on on the pavement is more likely to injury a pedestrian than him.

You know what's even more likely to injure a pedestrian?

Hint: It starts with c and ends with r.
I've already figured it out, matey. Don't tell @Dougie Marshall (Ret) though - he doesn't need to know, because he can't figure out shit.

How nice of you to start being judgemental and calling me names without even knowing me ^^ Glad you retired, can you keep it that way, for everyone else's sake? Would be greatly appreciated.
On topic: you can CLEARLY see the driver is on the wrong side, so alerting him, regardless of what the cyclist did or may not have done, is irrelevant. The fact the driver got aggressive says enough about his personality, the fact the police got involved and went to the driver says enough as well. If you want to hate on cyclists and enforce your opinion on others, maybe try a different website.
