Subiect: Remove your thumbs up/thumbs down from posts |

At the moment, if you click on the thumbs up or thumbs down for a post, you're not able to remove it, unless you click on the opposite option. This is a slight nuisance if you inadvertently click on the thumbs up or thumbs down due to the page scrolling to a post. A simple change would be that if you click on the thumbs up/thumbs down a second time, the thumbs up or thumbs down is removed. Alternatively, a cross by the thumbs up or thumbs down to remove them could also work.
(Apologies if this isn’t an issue for everyone, only some users as it's browser related)
EDIT-Renamed title, to make it clearer.

Sorry I accidently clicked thumbs down on your post, can't remove it.
|

Don't worry. I just made the same mistake.
EDIT-Post #3, and already off-topic. EDIT (again)-I'm kind, so I replaced it with a thumbs up, so I claim the moral high ground.

I don't have any objections to this being introduced but...

Newsflash: Most people don't care about this!

It looks like 16 other people have too.

What do you expect from a thumb topic? :D

If this doesn't get closed down soon, I fear for Andrew.

due to the title I thought this was suggesting removing the thumbs completely out of GPRO, and was about to give you a thumbs up. ;(
|
|
|
I gave everyone a thumbs down, except for Janne. Remove the thumbs please.
|
|
|
Actually a better idea is to no longer make the thumbs up or thumbs down anoymous. Would people go on a thumbs down streak then?

|

To be honest I rarely see the thumbs up or down used on posts that often...they are pointless. It isn't used nearly as enough like they are on youtube or facebook.
Just something there to fill a space.

Actually they're useful in a specific circumstance: the suggestions forum. It makes it easy to gauge the overall reaction to an idea by checking the thumbs on the thread-starter's post (if you don't feel inclined to read the whole thread).

Of course, that could go wrong, since a suggestion to allow us to post porn would get a lot of thumbs up, but defientely will not get implemented (unless all the admins get drunk).
Also, valid suggestions get thumbs down for no reasons.

Yes, I would. I want people to know if I dislike what they are saying or if I dislike who they are towards others :L
I bet I will get like 40 thumbs down for saying that hahahaha :)

Does anyone think that mentioning "Thumbs up" in a post gets you loads of thumbs down?

With your opening post at 34 dislikes just now....I'm thinking yes :L

Are people actually posting thumbs down for the suggestion, or because I posted it?
|
|
|
I think your suggestion is correct, Andrew.
The debate about if they should be there at all is not relevant here. As they are here, the option to remove your "vote" without needing to press the opposite thumb should be possible for situations where you click by accident or when you change your mind about a post, but not to the degree that you want to select the other thumb.
Many will say "nobody cares" and they are probably correct, but the fact is the feature is there so making it more user friendly for those that do use it is a good thing.
(off topic: Keeney will be gutted if Andrew beats his thumbs down record lol)

So you agree that this was Kiara stint to beat his record? :p

I claim the moral high ground. I didn't actually do it, so I clam the comedy high ground. ;p
BTW, what's the big deal over those? Does anybody actually pay any attention?

Would give you a thumbs up for that Kevin but I don't think anyone gives a .................. can't think of the appropriate word.

97% of the thumbs ups or downs I give are accidental because of my fat fingers on the phone screen.
Not sure I'd actually be bothered removing them, though.

Give me thumbs down faggots! :D
