This challenge is a part of the Ultimate Sports Fan Challenge Season 18, but as always, you may participate only into this challenge as well.
This year's Tour starts with an individual time trial in Utrecht, Netherlands. The first week is interesting also otherwise. The 2nd and 6th stage have potential sidewind, 3rd stage has Mur de Huy, 5th stage has cobbles, 8th stage has Mur de Bretagne and 9th stage is a team time trial. The start of the second week is spent on the Pyrenees with mountain top finishes on stages 10, 11, 12 and 14. The third week is spent on the Alps with MTF's on stages 17, 19 and 20, including the most overrated climb in the world, the Alpe d'Huez. The last stage is the traditional Champs-Élysées finish.
The GC battle should be very interesting with Contador trying to make 3 in a row after Vuelta and Giro wins, Nibali defending last year's win, Froome trying to repeat 2013 win and Quintana trying to improve from 2013 2nd place. Also in the green jersey battle Sagan may face his toughest battle yet with changed points system.

Picks and transfers
You have to pick 10 riders with total value max 10 000. You are allowed to make 8 transfers (keeping the total riders 10 and value max 10 000). You are allowed to make multiple transfers at the same time. Transfers made before the start of the stage count for that stage, otherwise they count for the next stage. Transfers made before the start of the race and the changes of transfers before the next stage won't count till the 8 transfers quota.
Scoring
Individual stages (including individual time trial):
Stage results: 100-70-50-35-30-25-20-16-13-10-7-5-3-2-1 points
Jerseys: 25-20-20-15 points for wearing yellow-green-polka dot-white during the stage
Best team: 5 points for all who are still in the race
Most combative: 10 points
Team time trial:
Based on team position, 40-28-20-14-12-10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 points are given to every rider who finishes with the same time as the team, otherwise halved points. Jersey points as in individual stages.
Start selection bonus
To give benefit to those who make good initial selection instead of bandwagoning, the riders who are in the team the whole race, will be given 20% extra to stage points they have scored. The bonus is added after the race.
Final classifications:
Riders score a base score based on their positions. That base score is multiplied by the number of stages you had him since you (last time) picked him into your team. The base scores are
General classification: 25-20-18-16-15-14-13-12-11-10-7-7-6-6-5-3-2-2-1-1
Points classification: 10-7-5-3-3-2-2-1-1-1
Mountain classification: 10-7-5-3-3-2-2-1-1-1
Youth classification: 5-4-3-2-1
Team classification: 2-1-1 (for all team members who finish)
So if you picked rider after stage 8 and he was 2nd in overall classification and 4th in mountain classification, you would get (20+3)*13=299 points.

So.... your entry isn't valid then. It's 10 riders, no more, no less unfortunately. That's part of the challenge here, is finding that balance between riders we want to have, and riders we can afford to have.

That's the challenge. I don't think there is a massive advantage running with 9 riders, but rules are rules. So please change the team to 10 riders.
