Ladies and gentlemen, I present you the only trophy that Roland Postle cannot win, the GPRO Baltic Cup.
It will run on a similar principle as cup competitions in all groups. This season we have 34 Lithuanians, Latvians, and Estonians in Pro and above. In a 32 manager cup by One Big Race, we'll get a few amateurs too. After R2, the fastest 32 managers from all 3 countries are combined into a seeded cup competition (seeds will be identical to the elite group cup for fairness). And after each race forward, the faster race time wins in each individual matchup.
This is a pilot season, so next season we can try ranking by team points each race as Raimonds suggested.
Any other suggestions for this or future seasons are welcome.

I don't expect to win this season, it's another slow, building season for me (that is if I survive)

Marty, you have such a sexy mustache.

If I win more than 4 races then it will be a disaster for you. Also - this is the only season I will push in nearest time, soo :D

thanks, I love your canines

The draw has been done (sorry about Excel sheet only)
For future seasons, I'll look for some tournament builders online.
A few interesting points: 15 managers in top300 28 managers in top1000 4 managers on Pipirelli, at least 1 of them will go through R1
And for everyone who's not happy with the draw, blame GPRO ;)
Let me know if you notice any mistakes

Can you say what we see above? These who qualified for Top32 after 2 races?
Will you post results after every race?

Quote ( Raimonds Urtāns @ May 20th 2020,19:56:53 ) Can you say what we see above? Top 32 combined from Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia after first 2 races by One Big Race standings. Seeded in the same ranking seeding as elite knockout cup this season.
Quote ( Raimonds Urtāns @ May 20th 2020,19:56:53 ) Will you post results after every race? Yes, I will be updating this after each race.

Many unexpected results, with quite a few underdogs getting ahead in the first race. The smallest difference was Karl-Martin Müür beating Arnoldas Molis by 5.5s only while racing in a lower division.

So Monaco does throw a few surprises.
Seed number 1 - Rimantas Sagatas is already eliminated. Rambler Kana from Pro-21 takes advantage of Agas start crash in R3 and puts another stellar performance to make it 2-0.
Also only two of the other four Elite group managers secured their place in the Top16 yet.
First Amateur manager secured a spot in Top16 as well, meaning we'll see 2 managers representing Amateur, too bad they will not meet each other in the next round ;)
I've put the managers that have qualified for Top16 through, so you can read the table better. But Race 5 will still be a deciding race in the first round.

there were a few down-to-the-wire matchups. Tammel beats Sutkin with less than 1.5s in this deciding race. Landsbergs vs Zarins was also a very close race. But this is where we stand now.

Wow, most seeds goes to LV (for now) Forced -2 -2 -1 coming up

1st race of Top16 is over. In most cases it was very one-sided. Andreas Ramann lifting off a little too much, conceding this race.
Are Latvians going to get 4 managers into Quarterfinals?
How much Pro managers are behind Elite managers?
E: Okey - found that only 4 Pro managers were faster then you Martynas
Three of the Quarterfinals pairs have been decided already, but there is also one still completely undecided, so Andreas Ramann, Arnoldas Arnisgd, Raimonds Urtans and Karl-Martin Muur still have all to play for.

Looks like we'll have managers from all 3 countries in semi finals

A very close battle between Aigars and Atis, a real pleasure to follow. Rambler and Evaldas had a close race too. Andreas goes through to the Semifinals, And I somehow manage to sneak in there too :D to be fair my side of the tree was a lot weaker than most of the other matchups. Also all 4 semifinalists will be on different tyre suppliers

And with only 0.854s better race time Evaldas Ruseckas gets to the semifinals of the first-ever GPRO Baltic Cup.
Who do you think is going to take it?

Well - my first bid is Aigars, but if good temps are for Andreas then Andreas

No surprises in Aigars win. I am not going without a fight though ;)

R14 will be a formality only.

So there we have it, the finals of the very first GPRO Baltic Cup. From the top half of the board, representing Latvia, and racing Bridgerocks with newly found pace in Elite, Aigars Vitolins, definitely a strong candidate for the title. And from the lower half of the table, representing Lithuania, a Contimental tyre challenger, who is very unlikely to retain in Elite, Marty, but he is not going without a fight ;)
3rd place play-off will see another Elite manager Andreas Ramann who has slowed down recently and started preparing for the next season already and Evaldas Ruseckas, who doesn't seem certain of his future in Master, so reaching the finals should be considered a success.
There may be clear favourites in each final, but the GPRO weather is unpredictable and randoms are always just behind a corner.
There is a very clear favourite in the final for the cup, congrats on the cup win, Marty!
There was a steep learning curve this season, but I always knew where and when it will end and for me the last proper race is done this season.
thanks, Aigars, to be completely honest, my route towards the final was definitely easier than yours.
BTW, let me know if you have suggestions for the second season.
Planning to push this season from the semifinal turned out to be the right thing for me :D
It is shaping up to be a good season for the cup next season too.
Apologies that I am not by my laptop and won't be able to provide any usual graphics, but the season is over. 3-0 in the final and 2-1 in the 3rd place playoff.
1st place goes to Martynas Brazenas 2nd place trophy goes to Aigars Vitolins 3rd place trophy goes to Andreas Raman
Like this post if you'd like to see another season (I'd run it on a same OBR format).

The host won the game? Seems rigged.
