Heading into this race, the confidence isn't exactly soaring. We haven't found any real consistency, and the budget is already scorched. But a 136-lap run changes the equation. That kind of distance gives us room to settle in, pick our moments, and work our way through the pack. The real test is whether the strategy holds together long enough for us to finally turn this into the result we've been chasing.

Things somehow manage to slide from bad to worse this week. Still, there’s a silver lining: we locked in a second sponsor, giving us the financial breathing room to afford much‑needed new car parts. And while the setup wasn’t perfect, the practice sessions paid off — I finally cracked the code on the right tire and fuel combination for next time. Progress may be messy, but it’s still progress.

Heading into the week‑three race, I decided it was time to take control of our own fate. The forecast calls for rain from start to finish, and even though the opening laps will be dry, we’re committing to rain tyres from the grid. I’m not the only one rolling the dice with this approach — but the real question is whether I’m the one who nails the rest of the strategy when it counts.

A simple miscalculation is one thing — that’s on us. But getting yanked around by the game itself is something else entirely. Week 1 was the worst finish we’ve ever posted. Then this week, we nail almost everything… only for GPRO to impede our race anyway. In its own way, this feels even more deflating than Week 1.

I’ve never come into a new season feeling more locked‑in, more prepared, or more fired up — and then we go out there and absolutely lay an egg. Today’s race turns into the worst finish of my entire career. One thing goes wrong, then another, and suddenly the whole thing spirals. No excuses. Race 2 has to be the bounce‑back.
