I disagree. The efforts of the entire team should be rewarded when the cost of having a personal livery is 50EUR. (0.5*5) 2.5EUR per race is a good price for 10 to collectively pay for using a personalised livery IMO.

Yes. If the objective is to maximise GPRO support, how is GPRO losing anything by allowing a one man team to have and use its own livery?

By completely ruining the "personal livery" aspect of the game. This will just create too many 1 man teams that just wants to use a personal livery without the cost of a personal livery.

so Jun you are saying someone that has paid $5,000,000 to start a team and become a supporter by paying real money - did the effort to get a team livery created - does not have the right to use it? - that imo is just ridiculous

A personal livery on this site has a fixed price. You can design your livery and put it as your wallpaper, but to have it here in the game - you have to pay what the game authors ask. If you are willing to pay less than that - you don't use a livery as a personal livery.

Yes, that is exactly what I am saying. Do you not realise the space and capacity a team livery takes to be used on the game? GPRO has already reduced this from 6 supporters to 5, plus given you all a treasury to place supporter credits in for players who does not have supporter status. I will assume it isn't cheap to have personalised liveries played around the game, hence the cost of it. Personal liveries that people have paid €50 for could might as well just say goodbye and do a team instead which just makes it even more clogged and defeats the purpose of people spending that money for it.
There is clearly a market for team liveries, and costs in place that clearly determines when you are and are not allowed to use team liveries. Alternatives are even been added by Vlad for teams without the amount of supporter credits to use the team livery and forums if the limit wasnt met. If you really want to use it, transfer credits to your supporter team treasury, and voila, instant use. :)

I can see both POV here, and I guess it would be something worthwhile to consider ...
While the Team Livery use for the whole team, could still be maintained at having 5 supporters, it still might be tantalizing to part of the community to buy credits if they were to allowed to use it even if the team does not have 5 or more supporters.
However, as Jun pointed out the optional misuse by just starting up one-man teams and thus in effect making it possible to use a personal livery for free, something has to be in place to prevent such. Also the Team Treasury definitely helps a lot, but if there's only one supporter in the team, he/she won't pay up for 5 members for x-amount of seasons to be able to run the Team Livery
However, I believe it might be possible to combine the best of two worlds, opening up the use to GPROS Supporters (albeit with some limitation) and still have some sort of leverage in the hands of the game developers. The easiest way would be to set a minimum amount of managers making up a team that would be eligible. Whether that requirement should be 5 or even 8 would be up to the game developer.
In short, to be able to use a Team Livery (not a Personal Livery!):
- If a team has 5 or more GPRO Supporters, the whole team can make use of the Team Livery (existing rul).
- In case a team doesn't have 5 Supporters, but the team has 6 or more members, only GPRO Supporters could use the Team Livery.
Maybe it could be a trial run for a set period of time, for the game developer to be able to monitor community behavior. If the number of supporters will go up, then it could stay if they agree. However, if there's no notable change or not enough to clearly state the community "was looking for such an option", the developer should have the right to close down the option again. As long as it's clearly indicated it would be a trial period for such a change, I could see a field test like this to be an easy decider once completed!
The basics behind the idea are, as pre-mentioned:
- Some managers simply cannot afford the purchase of credits,
- Some managers simply won't purchase of credits based on personal believes and/or principles,
- Still the combination of the two options would allow GPRO Supporters to run the Team Livery,
- As with the opted change will open up the instant use of a Team Livery for a big part of the community, in the long run quite possibly more managers would be willing to get them credits, which thus could make it financially interesting for
While I do not belief this game is run with "making a profit" in mind, there's no need to be ashamed to try and find a way to get a better yield. If only to, accommodate part of the community, while being able to take and reinvest (more) in the game again ;)

Through the team treasury feature, you could spend 0.4 credits/race to receive a supporter equivalent that would enable all of your team to use your team livery (and a team forum on GPRO as well). If you divide that amongst the four team members that are already supporters it would only be an additional 0.1 credit/race for each. Perhaps that amount could be worth it to get those extra team features.

Good constructive suggestion. Thank you George. We have resolved the issue. (Now have 5 supporting team members - all racing proudly in our team livery).
