I did not expect a guy in 'Pro' to support the idea of 'tyre compound choice is made visible or not'. I respect everyone opinions
I again say, What can be 'possibly achieved' if we know other managers tires? which you have not answered yet

Sorry but I fail to see the problem. Rookies and ama's seeing eachothers tyre choice pre-race is pointless. At least in ama it's obvious during / post race, but without the data from it, it's still pointless.... So again what's the problem? (and it's NOT going to happen anyway).
At lot of people are acting as if the game suddenly became more difficult for new joiners. Or like it's impossible to play catch up. Well it wasn't about 18 seasons ago and I fail to see why that has changed...
There's so much information openly available on the forum's alone (including complete formula's) that if someone is a bit handy in searching and with spreadsheets one can do quite well all by themselves and improve from what is found... And then there's things outside this website... which I don't recommend to rely on. But nothing the early addaptives had, like every new joiner has now...
Joining a team in search of similar data is a great next step. But expecting things to be delivered on a silver platter...? Well this probably isn't the game for you and Mario Karts would be a better choice..

I have. People before me have. Making tyre choice visible for Rookies can help Rookies understand which compound works under which conditions.
Assuming that accepting this change will lead to adjustments during the race is a logical fallacy called the "slippery slope"

On forums it hardly is ever personal Thijs unless it's obvious it is ;)
The free info available since you (or me) joined has only increased, and I know I made sure I posted severeal links to usefull old topics into more recent topics. Especially in rookie topics. That's best you can do, making the search easier. I can't help the next generation doesn't like searching ;) Not to say being lazy :P

These days there's so much more info out there compared to earlier seasons and that makes it much easier.

I wasn't referring to the first seasons of gpro, the "earlier seasons" can as mean something like ~30 seasons ago, not necessarily 70 seasons ago

Well actually "those days" which you were apparently referring to, new players faced ~30 rivals where as these days new players face ~15 rivals in a group.
Remember, a new manager isn't competing against everyone in GPRO, they are competing with other managers in their respective group
And there is much more information available for the new arrivals
So... GPRO is much easier for new managers than it used to be

I'm afraid we agree to disagree since you fail to get the point. Not to underestimate the danger of S17 Master though.. @Mikko Heikkinen (P13) was among them and he turned into a dinosaur ;)

Or is it possible that current group level of an individual manager has nothing to do with the difficulty of said group? That there could well be something else, such as what that manager wants to do, at play?
Who knows? I'm sure you have a much better understanding of the difficulty level of the game from when you weren't playing than those who were playing at that time do.
Edit: Plus it should go without saying, but i'll say it anyway. Yug won a title, that says everything about the difficulty of the game nowadays :P

Have the ability to see which other managers jump on sponsors.
I have a theory around this that's rife at the moment. Interested to hear peoples thoughts.
Ps: fully aware you can figure out who your competitor is.

Now they shove the whole Wiki down the rookies throats and tell them to FOBY what they may need for the very first races.
Would I know what exactly was the mentors scheme I would be more supportive of them. But even the simple "rules" were never visible, let alone clear. Even when directly asked if a rookie would get a first race advice in a "3 first races" program. And the answer.... silence. I mean, a lot of noise. Noise is what you guys are all elites.

No matter if a manager is pro, rookie or elite. I understand people who prefers to wait some laps and discover it when drivers suffer tyres wearing, but there should be an option to see what tyres wear others in race, like F1 with colored tyres.
