Pardew probably is the best English choice, which is why, although I'd prefer an English manager, I think we have to go foreign. And Bilic is actually the best shout I've heard, I'd be really happy with that.

I'll give you that the bottom 10 is more competitive in EPL than in La Liga or Bundesliga, definitely so comparing with Serie A - but the English top clubs aren't that special in comparison.

But forster isn't even fit to lace Harts boots. Forster isn't commanding at all. He's a decent keeper but not even in the same realm as Forster. He's on part with Green, Carson and all then pretenders that came in. Harts been very solid, Seaman before him etc. We've only ever had 3 or 4 world class keepers. Shilton and banks being the other 2.

You've lost all sense of reason mate. Like, really.
Just look at Southampton's results this season before and after Forster returned from his injury. I actually don't rate him that highly, but "not fit to lace Hart's boots" is a strong statement, strong and really absurd.

Sam banks and Shilton are world class but trust me they were prone to errors. I can't even being to fathom what their distribution were back in the day. Any modern footballer is generally much better than back in the day.
We are talking about footballers being athletes not drunken fools who smoke 20 a day.
Forster is a decent keeper like I said. He's no where near that of Joe Hart.

All those people knocking Southgate, tell me who brought all the young players through a very good under 21 team.
Also who is the only England manager that has won a tourney in the last 30 years.
Oh yes it's that manager Gareth Southgate, he has just won the Toulon tourney something England haven't done for 25yrs, so lay off the guy, he deserves a chance.
I am not saying he should work Solo, bring an elder manager to work alongside him to offer advice and make sure the players know who is in charge Maybe Hoddle or even Venables, some have even suggested using an elder foreign manager to help him out.

I don't mind Southgate.....
just as long as nobody talks about penalties EVER when they have training sessions or when anyone talks about him for that matter :)
But...honestly, its like his whole career was defined by a shot from twelve yards....yet nobody panned Gazza for drinking 10 pints the night before "that" game and missing from...what...two yards?
