Nominated for Best Silly Game in GPRO at the Oscars 23 times, along with being 7 times winner of Best Silly Game in GPRO at the Oscars too!!!
(Not bad considering this is only the 10th season of the game!)

F1 Revisited – 1959
Last season saw the title go down to the wire, as von Trips and Gerard battled over the championship until the final race of the season before the German ended up taking his 1st ever title. Meanwhile in the Teams Championship it was a season where Ferrari took the honours, while Maserati pushed them almost all the way and both BRM and Cooper managed to take victories as well.
A smooth driving style, with timely gear changes, well-marked braking points, a feel for the changing track conditions and the best strategy should ultimately come out on top this time around…plus, manage your money well and spend it wisely to ensure you are in the best position for next season!

Brabham becomes the 1st ever non-European F1R Champion in fine style after claiming 3 victories in the final 5 races of the season...and with this victory moves up to 4th in the all-time standings for Most Victories EVER! Trintignant finishes the season in his best ever final standings position, which is an incredible achievement to finish ahead of two of the three Ferrari's, with one of them the defending champion!
Von Trips fails to defend his title here - though he gave it a valiant effort - though his finish to the season cost him in the end. Bonnier will be gutted not to have been able to keep his form streak going, as 6th place today ultimately costs him a finish in the Top 3 of the final standings. Gregory in 5th for BRM has his best ever season - though had a race to forget today.
D'Orey in 6th had an incredile final season of his career, while Bianchi finishes as top Cooper after his incredibly dramatic victory at the Italian GP. Flockhart and Gendebien both have decent seasons, with 2 podiums apiece ensuring their place within the Top 10 - and they are joined after the final race of the season by Gurney, who unceremoniously ousts Behra to leave the French veteran in 11th in his final ever season after an incredible career spanning 8 seasons.
Phil Hill and Testut (who bows out without contending the final race of the season) lose ground, while Graham Hill has a bitter-sweet day as he does pick up his 1st point of the season thanks to Fastest Lap today, though pays the price of an early retirement to get that! Finally, best results of the season for Brooks keeps him in 15th overall, de Filippis moves up to 21st overall after her final race of the season - though Naylor does hang on in 20th to make it 2 JBW's in the Top 20 in their debut season!
Shelby finishes as top Connaught in their final race of the season, while behind him de Beaufor's best finish of the season moves him up to 22nd overall.

Arguably the most unlucky driver this season was Bruce McLaren, as he always seemed to make the wrong strategic call or end up being quick on a day when his car was not - though he does at least claim the accolade of best setups for the season. Bonnier makes it a 1-2 for Maserati in these standings, with ultimate champion Brabham 3rd and then Gurney 4th ahead of Gregory in 5th overall.

Ferrari were confirmed as Champions long before, though Cooper will be delighted to hold onto 2nd position - with Porsche into an impressive 3rd position after a very strong season for them capped off by a double podium! That means Maserati sink to 4th overall after an uncharacteristically difficult season for the Italians - though they do at least keep BRM behind them in the top half of the table.
In the lower half, Aston Martin make an impressive debut season happen with several Top 10 positions ensuring they finish 6th overall, while Vanwall must go back to the drawing board in 7th ahead of the other debutants JBW, who finish a very respectable 8th from Connaught saying farewell in 9th and then finally Lotus, who rather tailed off at the end of the season, in 10th and last position.

Game Play (Brief Version)
Each “race weekend” will consist of a single qualifying session and the race. For each qualifying lap you will input a set of instructions about how to take each corner (what gear, how late to brake, what risk to use), on your own personal Google Doc spreadsheet, meaning you can do your qualifying laps whenever you like!
Qualifying is run as one continuous session then once qualifying is wrapped up the grid will be determined, and you can input your instructions for the race itself.
Qualifying
Here is an example of how your spreadsheet will look:
https://i.imgur.com/vIFvtQv.jpg
There is also a Feedback Tab that shows you how well you are performing vs the optimal gears & braking choices, as can be seen here:
https://i.imgur.com/pZvFKb2.jpg
Please note that instructions are included there, plus of course your team-mates and I will be able to help you with anything that isn’t immediately apparent.
Race
There is a Race Setup tab on your sheet that you simply need to fill in to confirm your race setup & strategy. The race is simulated by JB from that point onwards. Collisions, damage, weather changes and running out of fuel are all possible – so you will need to make sure your race setup accounts for these elements!
Interactive Race Element
In ‘Interactive Sessions’ you have 3 move options, which you post in the thread:
a) ATTACK b) DEFEND c) PERFECT LAP
To be able to ATTACK a driver you have to be within 1 second of them as of the last update. You can use ‘PERFECT LAP’ at any time when you are NOT within 1 second of another driver.
If an interactive session lasts for less than 12 hours, then a series of penalties will apply for anyone that posts one of the commands within the session. If it lasts for more than 12 hours, then it will almost always be a positive thing to post during the session.
Undefended ATTACK = Overtaking move ATTACK that is DEFENDED = Time penalty for both drivers PERFECT LAP done solo = Time gain PERFECT LAP attempted at the same time as someone else = Time penalty for both drivers
Finally – NO EDITING of posts is allowed during an Interactive Session.

Current Line-Ups

30 seats immediately available in F1 Revisited this season with another 26 on stand-by! That means initially there are only 3 seats per team available!!!
The Driver Allocation
Initial driver confirmations have already been completed by PM. Now ALL DRIVERS in the game will agree their salaries with the Team Principal (these are real GPRO players as per the above list), and both should send me a copy of this contract filled in identically:
Driver Name – Team Name – Contract Length – X seasons Signing Bonus – £X Salary – £X Contribution (the amount the driver is going to give towards the team’s development) – £X
If you are new to the game, you will need to select a new driver from the list of available drivers below (note, the Indy 500 representatives are not permitted):

You will represent the same driver in the following years and cannot ditch him until he retires. There is no competitive advantage to be gained between drivers, aside from the driver multiplier.

Money
Here is the current financial situation for the drivers:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1SDwQZ0_Z3nOhGZao5qbv...
There are several things that money can be used to purchase, as follows:
Multiplier Boosts
https://i.imgur.com/wF74CD7.jpg
Homes
You can live anywhere in the world that you want to …if you can afford it. To buy a house in a country other than that of your birth will cost a premium, but will allow you to test on that track between races so when the Grand Prix circus finally shows up to town you will be quicker at that track. Simply send a PM with the words “Quote on a house in COUNTRY NAME(S)” and I will respond with the relevant prices to do so. You may have more than 1 house, but this will dilute your multiplier by the number of houses you own.
Citizenship
A long and drawn out 5 year process, but you can change the country you represent by living there for 5 years in a row…this will allow drivers who may not have a home GP the chance to get the small speed boost that your favourite track affords you. After securing a house in a country, simply send a PM with the words “Apply for Citizenship” and your application will begin the long process of being put through. Dual citizenship is a possibility too.
1959 Financial Rewards
Money is given for your final position in the Championship and the Setup standings, along with money each race for your position, setup performance and incidentals (Pole/FL etc). At the end of the season a whole variety of bonuses will be paid out, so regular involvement in races will give you a good amount to spend for next season!
Full list of financial rewards are here; http://f1-revisited.wikidot.com/wiki:game-rules#toc6
Please note that you can also see a list of New Season changes just below the above link too.

Flokhart isnt listed above Jon ;) Man its gonna be tough not being able to have Christian again due to the multiplier limit :(
Guess Cooper has a free spot for a driver with a 1.05 and below multiplier!

Quote ( Kyle Morris @ December 31st 2019,01:40:42 ) Flokhart isnt listed above Jon ;)
As a possible winner in the poll you mean? Then choose "Another Driver" :)
As an available driver you mean? You signed him into a 2 season contract last time around, so he's not listed as available for that reason! :)
Quote ( Kyle Morris @ December 31st 2019,01:40:42 ) Man its gonna be tough not being able to have Christian again due to the multiplier limit :(
Got to break up the teams and scatter the knowledge around somehow ;)

It was late and I cant read xD

Wait what. Am I out of Cooper? :(

Quote ( Christian Anello @ December 31st 2019,16:42:07 ) Wait what. Am I out of Cooper? :(
You only had a 1 season contract...and given your Driver's multiplier it's not likely that Kyle can re-sign you...so you and a couple of others will have to look for new outfits. Hence we redistribute the knowledge in the game so no team gets too powerful/knowledgeable :)

Aston Martin are hiring, we offer quality tea and biscuits with a sportscar-proven chassis and a decent pension.
Please send enquiries to team management who will happily meet you at the local pub over a pint to talk details!
|
|
|
Porsche is also in need of a third driver, the only requirement is that your multiplier is under 1.22. The team is under new management and hopes to improve on last season! If you are interested let me know, we can discuss the contract details via PM. :)

Lucien is open to offers. Please go through myself if you would want to sign the brightest star in auto racing!

Breaking News
Ferrari confirm their full line-up with von Trips defending his title alongside Jack Brabham, after the Australian's strong showing last time around. However there is no places for Salvadori this season, instead Ferrari elect to take a chance on an exciting young prospect out of South America as Fritz d'Orey comes in (after Gould retires of course) to lend an air of youth to the team's efforts in defending their Teams Championship from last season.
Meanwhile Maserati have elected to bring on board a youngster themselves, in the shape of promising American Dan Gurney while Porsche confirm Trintignant will drive for them for another season and Cooper also secure Behra for another season in their ranks alongside the already confirmed Flockhart...

|
|
More Breaking News
BRM have also consolidated their entire driver line-up for the 1959 season, as they retain Graham Hill and bring on board Phil Hill (no relation) after his consistent showings for Vanwall last season. Finally they take a punt on retaining the relatively unproven Masten Gregory, who is driving for the BRM team for the 3rd season in a row - though with a best finish of 17th place it hardly inspires confidence in how the American will perform this time around...

Even More Breaking News!
Connaught have agreed a contract with Cliff Allison to bring the often overlooked young Brit to their team at last - Team Principal Mark Witney is said to be delighted to finally have the space and the resources to bring his new charge on board for the 1959 season.
And there are said to be further signings in the pipeline for Connaught besides...!

Breaking News
Porsche announce the driver that will line up alongside Frenchman Trintignant and Belgian Gendebien, and completing the Western European connection it is the Monegasque André Testut who will take the wheel of the 3rd Porsche, as they look to build on a solid performance last season.
Meanwhile we officially have the 1st female driver in F1R history (they'll be wanting to be paid the same wage next!!!*), as Aston Martin take a punt on Maria Teresa de Filippis as their first ever official signing - what a way to announce your arrival into the series!
Maserati have announced one of the drivers alongside Gurney this season will be Bruce McLaren, as the Kiwi moves from Lotus to Maserati in what is a big step up for the youngster in only his 2nd season in F1R...while the other driver will be Joakim Bonnier, who rejoins for another season after a solid showing in 1958 by the popular Swede.
Meanwhile Vanwall make a bold first signing in the shape of newcomer to the series Innes Ireland, who will seemingly be leading the charge alongside Fairman for the British marque given the retirement of Peter Collins after many years of faithful service. Big shoes to fill indeed...!
* Joking...in case anyone is bothered.

Breaking News
Lotus have confirmed that they have secured the signature of Porsche cast-off Harry Schell for the next season at least, as the American looks to secure a position higher than 24th in the overall standings (where he has finished for Porsche in the last 2 seasons in a row!).
Lucien Bianchi meanwhile has been signed as the 3rd driver for the Cooper team, which is a good element of youth alongside the more experienced duo of Behra and Flockhart. It will be interesting to see what the young Belgian can produce this season...

More Breaking News
Vanwall secure the services of Carel Godin de Beaufort for the 2nd season in a row, as the Dutchman will be keen to improve on his 17th place in the standings in 1958...though that was an improvement on the year before, so he is certainly going in the right direction!
Connaught confirm their final driver in their line-up as well, as Carroll Shelby will make his series debut with the British marque, who seem more bullish in their approach this time around...
