Quote ( Matthew Standen @ May 19th 2020,01:56:06 ) Everyone breathes a sigh of relief!
Shannon will hopefully be back though - what his risks will be I'm not sure.
Though having given it some thought (and I am by no means claiming this idea, as I think someone suggested it a while back - I forget who though), I am going to introduce from next season onwards that anyone who pits for a collision will put on "fresh tyres"; and by that I mean they will go 1 second per lap faster than they otherwise would have gone. That should reduce the pain and give people in that boat a little more to race for...

You have until 20:00 CET on Friday the 22nd May to send in any multiplier boosts you wish (see post #6 for details). Qualifying will start at that time!
Anyone setting a lap-time before then will have all of those laps reset to 5 minutes total, meaning they will have less time to complete laps and will get no advantage from doing so. You have been warned!

Given connaught's upcoming demise I'm not sure it's worth offering a place.

Other way to look at it is that it's the perfect no pressure training ground! ;)

Is it already allowed to talk to teams regarding next season?
|
|
|
Allowed to talk yes :) allowed to confirm contracts and send them over to me...not yet.

Hans Herrmann has announced he is stepping back from racing for a while and will potentially return next season.
As such, Lotus have engaged the services of exciting American newcomer Bob Said to take his seat for the final two races of the 1959 Championship. This is a particularly exciting development, given that Said is said to have strong experience at racing in junior categories at the Sebring circuit (the final race of this season).
Meanwhile another newcomer to the series joins the Connaught squad, as David Piper will make his debut for the British marque at the Italian Grand Prix to help bolster their existing team and revive their flagging fortunes this season,...

NB - Big thanks to @Jonathan MacLean (A78) for his hard work on the scripts this race.
Hopefully he has managed to solve the secrurity issue and the slow loading issue all in one (though still expect laps to take about 5-10 seconds to load - though that's better than 10-20 seconds!).
Any issues let me know ASAP!
