Quote ( Keith Partridge @ May 23rd 2020,12:23:25 ) Part of the excitement... Will the picture be there or wont it lol!!!!!
Worth noting that if the picture isn't there you can click into the space where it should be and it will show you the formula still - e.g.:

If the image isn't showing just take the part in quotation marks and put it in your browser - e.g.:

Voila! You can see the image :)

Haha the F1R FIA refuses to comment on such matters :P

Aston Martin come out strongly at the start of qualifying, as de Filippis makes the early running - proving yet again that she can compete on a level playing field with the men in the series! Team-mate Brooks is 4th but has run only about half as many laps. Sandwiched between them are championship contender Trintignant (who is in desperate need of a result this weekend to get his challenge back on track) and the Connaught of Moss.
News has come out this week that Connaught will not be returning for the 1960 season, which means that this is the penultimate time that we will see Moss (currently 3rd), Allison (currently 5th) and Shelby (yet to set a lap). And given that they are leaving the series, they have elected to hand a debut to a young British racer, by the name of David Piper - who is one of 2 debutants scheduled to race this season. Although he is currently 6th of 6 it is a respectable pace for the young Brit at this point, which he will look to build upon in what is likely to be mostly a learning weekend for him...
Provisional Pole - Maria Teresa de Filippis (Aston Martin) - 1:42.276

Cliff Allison had his best result of the season here, as he managed to bring home his Ferrari in 5th place and take home his only points of 1959! Though it could be argued that he gained places thanks to faults with the Climax-engined Coopers and Lotus (with 3 such retirements from drivers in those cars), he nevertheless managed to bring his car home in the points.

You all have until 18:00 CET on Saturday 30th May to submit your Race Setups too!

Spent all week working on this...
http://f1-revisited.wikidot.com/wiki:driver-profiles-sortable
All Drivers who competed in the 1950 season (and have now retired) have full profiles written up now. I will continue adding other now retired drivers - but I won't add any Driver's profile until they have fully retired from F1R (i.e. can no longer be chosen in a future season).
Any questions or inaccuracies, let me know! :)

Looking forward to getting them all completed - so that it will become a badge of honour to get your Driver Profile completed when your Driver retires :)

For those in Connaught who have not completed, strategy breakthrough posted on the forum noticeboard.... Just to the right of the beer fridge

Connaught have made a real statement in qualifying, first of all with newcomer David Piper ensuring he will start the race ahead of both Brooks and de Filippis for Aston Martin, and then Allison going even faster - with Moss lurking in the background to try and join both of his team-mates at the front of the grid imminently also!
The threat from the other teams behind is certainly very real though, as the Maserati's of Gurney and Bonnier, the BRM of Phil Hill, von Trips' Ferrari, Trintignant's Porsche, Salvadori's Aston Martin, Ireland's Vanwall, Naylor's JBW, de Beaufort's Vanwall and Graham Hill's BRM all have a good amount of laps left to run, which will inevitably impact the order.
No sign of the Lotus or Cooper teams on track yet though...

Pole Position and a victory by over 45 seconds for Moss at the 1959 Italian GP - only deprived of a hat-trick by Phil Hill in a win that put the Brit back into Championship contention, some 5.5 points behind Brabham at the top of the standings... ------------------------------------
You all have until 18:00 CET on Saturday 30th May to submit your Race Setups too!
