So this is not me slating the Nations trophy - actually I am a fan and would love to see my own country do better - but naturally the countries with the largest amount of members will do better then the smaller countries.
Any one have ideas on how it could be improved. I have a few - but I feel way to new a member to voice my opinion - so I thought I would ask to see what the general consensus is.

Note: For this competition, only the best 30 scorers of each country per race count.

I feel basically the same way as you, as a Canadian, there's no way we could ever win with how few people we have, but you could always have the top (x) drivers from your country compete in the cup.

We have country A and country B. Country A's top 30 members all win in the Elite, Master and Pros and then Country B's top thirty win in Amateur and Rookie - Would it be obvious to assume A does better then B. In that case does the KO Cup benefit the dominate countries with no chance give to the counties still developing on the game?

In my case it doesn't matter, we don't have lots of managers at gpro hehe we're like 10 or 12.

And why should the "developing country" with less than 30 managers win ?
After all it's country/nation cup, not a "pair cup" or "foursome cup"
The line needed to be drawn somewhere, preferably a figure which means people in that nation still get to contribute. IF the amount of contributors is heavily limited it's no longer nations cup, it becomes something else completely.

Yes, currently "only" 43 countries have 30+ mangers.
And if said managers aren't performing well, surely you don't suggest that they should be rewarded for it ?
IF your country doesn't have 30 managers or you know potential managers, then I'd suggest this: /InviteFriend.asp
Spread the word among your friends and focus groups :)

Ofcourse if managers are not performing well they should not be rewards, and nor should they be counted when trying to justify how many countries have a real shot at participating in the knockout cup. We both know 43 countries are not competing for the cup. Simply counting the number of countries with 30 managers /actually/ racing will already reduce the number by a handful. Try estimating the number of countries that have a chance to /ever/ realistically produce a roster of 30 well-performing managers, you're left with about 20 countries.

That's not what I care about. My point is that the cup in it's current structure is hardly interesting for /anyone/

Just to draw a parable, there isn't 200 countries in football world cup either there's just a handful instead, but people still find it interesting.

Why is that ?
Finland will never win football world cup, it's just impossible with our population of ~5,500,000 vs. "the greats" of football, like Brazil 212,559,417, Germany 83,783,942, UK 67,886,011 (just to mention a few (don't mean to leave other greats out, just would take too much space to mention all))
I can still appreciate and enjoy the competition

Isn't it interesting that Poland with ~half the amount of managers compared Brazil has more points
And similar things happen elsewhere, Czech Rep has ~2,5 times more managers than Sweden but only 0,8 more points
My point is... one doesn't have to be "in it" to enjoy it.
I will probably never have a chance to drive a F1 car either, but I can still enjoy the things that happen there :)
