First few suggestions: Record everything in spreadsheets about the car, the driver, the sponsors, etc. Before and after each race. After the race to see where you are at with the setup you used. Before the next race to record the changes you made (training, testing, car upgrade etc.).
Record all the information that the game gives you, as some of this information can become unavailable at times.
Once you have built this for a few races look for patterns...
Look on the internet for GPro advices.
Avoid trying to leave Rookie too quickly. Rookie tells you a lot of things. Stay in AMA until you understand the game mechanics. Or if you choose to go to say Pro to see what it is like understand that you will learn little and get kicked back to AMA, basically loosing 1-2-3- seasons.
Mind you that is what I did (go to Pro too early) and it taught me that I wanted to go back up to Pro and higher, later on.
Expect three seasons before you start understanding the game.
It is worth paying the fee to the game to get the data.
Oh, and the Forum can be brutal, wear an armor when you come here. ! ;-)
Cheers, a.

My worse throw back (so far): Being relegated to a lower level for going minus 100$ (yes that is one hundred dollar) on the Last race of the season, being passed on the few last laps before the finish (in the pt).

So, Who is going for the promo?I don't know what I can do, but so far my very first ever amateur season feels good. Retention seems save and time to think what can become in the future.

Re promotion, definitely not me! I've been to Pro unprepared too many times to do it again.
Your retention is a certainty now. Often a tenth place finish is enough, 12 points is more than plenty..:-)
My advice is to build a Car and Driver package and a large stash of cash. You will need to promote with at least a level 6 car (with as many Test CCPs as possible) a driver OA around 150 (not just due to Motivation as you will lose that quite quickly in the early races). Around $60m is a minimum (with as many Sponsors as you can get).
Good luck for the future Sven, and congrats on your Cup first round win :-)

Sorry for knocking you out the cup. I'll try to keep up the good results. And the money will follow along with the sponsors I think.

No problem, this is a building season for me. Just be careful not to promote before you are ready.
Pro is harder than you might think. Blocking is massive and you need to qualify high and dominate immediately or your driver will lose Motivation rapidly and you will spend all your cash trying to stay competitive.l
Arrive strong and race hard or you will spend your second season fighting just to survive.
Don’t promote until you are ready to play for real🤔

|
I don't mind if I where to promote. Then I can learn and still go down. But I will not give all for it. I'll see how it turns out in a few races.

Shit.... Come back to rookies :(

Congrats on your first Amateur win Sven..:-)
I was a little lazy in not reducing my fuel for the last stint and you chose well keeping a boost for the final few laps.
These are things that will make all the difference in Pro. I hope you enjoy your first taste...
The biggest shock you will find in Pro is the amount of blocking there is. I find it best to use a harder tyre compound and extend your stint by two or three laps on which you boost. With a good pit crew you can make up several places with every stop. This works well in Amateur but much more so in Pro.
I wasn't looking to promote this season but I had to keep pushing to achieve Sponsor success. I narrowly missed out on 5 Sponsors for $7m but I managed 4 for $5.5m. This should make up for the lack of funds in my account.
Good luck, I hope we get to race again some day..:-)
