Ahhh... John Wyer's all dominating GT-40's. The ironic thing is that while the Europeans (French?) at the FIA got irritated that the American's were dominating sportscar racing - these cars - despite having lots of U.S. technology - were of English pedigree (derived from a Lola chassis) run by team with an Englishman at its helm...
Even more ironic is that when the FIA made the rules changes to obsolete the GT40 by restricting displacement in order to get that group back to its production roots (and hopefully more competition) - the result was to usher in the Porsche 917 - a car that was never envisioned under the smaller displacement rules (even less like real cars). It also kicked off the era of Porsche sportscar dominance that would last through the 965 Group C cars of the 1980's.

I thought I would provide some more details on what we are looking for in a manager:
1. Looking for managers that will be active and contribute - seriously - there are plans for the team. I know this is a very unique requirement... that most teams aren't looking for active managers to contribute - so if you are one of those active contributor types and feel put out by all the teams looking for "flakes looking to leech" - we might be a good team to join.
2. Team is taking a long view - looking for commitment and potential over near term abilty to score team points - if you are a higher level manager with patience that's great too.
3. Supporters... we want to run those baby blue and orange colors you should too...
4. Must like Success - We don't want to be responsible for making you unhappy if you begin to win regularly by large margins. Bonus points - If you secretly take pleasure in lapping opponents, goading kids in elementary school into bike races for "pinks" or burning insects with a magnifying glass - there might be some extra consideration given to your application...

Update - we are at 4 members (2 provisional (accepted but unofficial) pending upgrade to Supporter status) - all are/will be supporters.

Anyway, this team is already developing a good reputation, and you've only got 2 members! =P When you posted here a month or so (maybe more) you seemed very enthusiastic about the Gulf/Porsche concept and your concept was welcomed here (which doesn't always happen!) so I'm glad you followed through with your team idea!
The edited livery will look fantastic, and I wish you all the best Mark, Tom and the 8 future members!

I think this has helped me further my career and i thank how Mark has accepted me into his small, but effective, team.
I hope to be challenging for major points this season which will help the push for a good position in this seasons standings. :)

Hey guys, it's a really great team, there are a couple of positions open still and we welcome people interested in F1. There's been a lot of help thrown around today already and it's truly exciting.
Supporter is very cheap in this game too, and extremely beneficial.

i have applied for your team came 3rd in rookie 93 last year but stayed down cos had no cash to join amateur level.made about motersport and the ford gt4o is a big fav and love the colours.also i am i gpro surporter with 64 euro on the account
