Promotion was not the plan last season as I was not ready financially. I've already started scouting out a new driver, possibly one to carry on all the way to the top...

You know that feeling you get when, after 3 long seasons of training & preparing, your driver finally hits 110OA without motivation before you renew his contract again? I haven't felt this tingling in a long time, but do I want to prolong it with promoting next season? I think I might....

Finally had the chance to qualify, and my jaw hit my keyboard when I saw the rain on the forecast with no chance of it stopping. Then I was quite confused that my driver was slow in Q1 yet blazed to the top of Q2; it has me wondering if people are calculating their fuel stints in the rain correctly, but I digress.

The difference between Q1 and Q2 is surprising.
Because we must all have the same strategy ;)
After my random of the last race, I hope to have more luck the rest of the season

I get the feeling they're trying to 2-stop at this wet outing, but again I digress.

If you go to more than one pit stops, there is the difference, because you have less fuel, but you should have trained the pit staff so that it does not hurt you to have a stop more than the rest
|

If you're converting your fuel loads from dry to rainy conditions correctly, the fuel load difference between 1 and 2 stops is maybe 20L, which doesn't give off that much of a fuel weight penalty. If you're feeling froggy, you could probably 0-stop this one or maybe just a really long 1-stopper and a splash 'n' dash for the finish. Once again, I digress.

You have beaten my quite some times during this season Olivier... so I dont know if I am better in that regard, might have been lucky with my choices of strategies.
To me it looks like Mike Taylor want to stay in Ama too, which makes Adrian promote even if Daniel passes him :D

Hi everyone, in my case, it's my first season at AMA, and I think the best thing is to be ordered and stay two seasons in AMA, then in the third, try the promotion. And if Adrian does not feel ready, it will be a pleasure to have him in the next season competing together.

2 stops, level 3 engine, 0CT, finished 2nd. This reaffirms my calling this group garbage. Bloody hell, maybe I should take this shit package up to Pro then relegate so I can be put into a less trashy Amateur group.

Johnsson and Portal are the only official promoters from this group; Jensen, Sokołowski, and Žgela are fighting for 3rd and 4th in the standings as we round of the season in Canada. If luck plays a certain way we could have all 5 of them promoting up to Pro, just have to hope no one thinks about ruining themselves by going red financially; otherwise, they'll start all over again in Rookie.

If someone were to promote by accident, its often better to accept it and come back down next season, not to ruin the rest of the package.
Dont forget that you, Mason, and Taylor still has a theoretical chance to promote, but I guess you will smoke again and thereby eleminate that chance.

Congratulations, Jonhson for the title. And the promotions by discard, if you are not prepared financially, it is better to let it go the way you can. In my particular case, I think that it will be next season and another one in AMA. It does not help to go up without money.
