Protests are fine as long as peaceful but as soon as it becomes rioting/looting and killing innocent bystanders, how the hell can anyone defend that bullshit.
Celebrities who think their opinions matters and those asshats who are being bailed for committing actual crimes but acting as they're heroes....
Let their properties burn and be vandalised and see if they have the same attitude. Scum.

Hmmmm, some footage shows ANTIFA using the protests to start riots and vandalize businesses, pinning the blame on BLM. Then there are the mysterious pallets of bricks appearing almost out of thin air in multiple US cities (including mine, I think?). Corporations are now using this to bolster profits, completely forgetting about LGBTIADKIJN Pride Month. All of this happens while ObamaGate goes mostly unnoticed by the American people.

Until we stop believing that what race you are matters..... there will continue to be friction between those races.
This applies to many other "isms" as well. Once people see other people as just "people" instead of categorizing into sub groups such as race, sex, religion, political affiliation, sports club allegiance or place of origin... it is at that point that a truly equal functioning and homogeneous society will emerge.
Until then, people will fight and hate one another based on those aforementioned categories. You want to open a productive discord? Strip away those categorizations, otherwise you are only continuing the problem.

Saying "All Lives Matter" in the current situation is like being at the funeral of your friends kid and while they're giving a speech about how special their kid was to them you're screaming "All Kids are Special".
Then on top of that saying "BLM isn't important" is like telling them "Who cares about your fucking kid".
Of course all lives matter, but that's not what's currently important. First and foremost, the movement to keep people being killed for the color of their skin is important. Nobody is saying that just because the focus should currently be on certain lives that are in danger, other lives suddenly don't matter at all.

Constantin has a point. people are shouting BLM because the opposite is the case. Black lives are still being regarded as slave lives in the US, and the same problem is happening in other countries as well.
To gain an equality in the importance of lives, currently Black lives need to become more important. It's the biggest outlier if you were to graph the amount of importance of lives per ethnicity.
Obviously, the ultimate goal is to create a flat line where ALL lives matter, but at this point in the process it's more useful to focus on the biggest part of the problem.
When you're trying to flatten a bed of sand, it makes sense to fill the biggest pits first, instead of running a board across the entire bed until everything is finally flat. BLM is trying to fill a very big pit.

It's the difference between hearing '[only] black lives matter' (or 'black lives matter [more]') and 'black lives matter [too]'.
The latter IS the message, yet the ALM sayers have their head so far up their arse all they hear is the former.

I am 100% for the BLM movement, because protestors do have a point and the discrimination on behalf of the US police (and all police for that matter, police in Europe is only a fraction less discriminative) must come to an end.
However, the central message (black lives matter) and all the hype around this movement itself highlights the inequality. Because for a US cop, a black life might matter less tha a white, but an american black life matters infinately more than the life of the Palestinian kid killed on the same day by Israeli police (who issued a statement we're sorry and that was the end of it), the lives of the countless immigrants drowned trying to cross into Europe and all other lives that are simply statistics even to the majority of the BLM protestors.
Lives matter in general and if Floyd's death is a trigger for something bigger, I am with them, but the majority of the protestors praise Obama, who, on a global scale, proved to be as racist as they come and my message to them is that american black lives matter just as much as any other life.

IMO this is very political as almost everything of this nature boils down to the insurgency, and this is one of those instances. If I watched, the news (corrupt), I'd be whipped up into a frenzy as well :-)
