Welcome to Day 2 of THE OPEN on a day where the pins are a little easier, there is no wind and brilliant sunshine so it promises to be a great day for golf.
Tim has a little bit of an up and down round as he drops a Double Bogey and a Bogey before the turn. He then recovered a little as he picked up a Birdie before he finished on a score of 73 and 2 Over Par
Greg had a similar round as he dropped 2 Double Bogeys on the front nine but he also had a Birdie. His back nine was very steady till the last hole where he picked up a Birdie to end his day on 73 and 2 Over Par.
Dave had a round of 2 halves as his front nine had 2 Double Bogeys. He did however recover well as the back nine contained a Birdie and a nice Eagle which ended his round on a score of 72 and 1 Over Par.
Tony couldn’t get his round going at all as he dropped 2 Double Bogeys and a Bogey on his front nine. It got slightly better but he still dropped another Bogey on the back nine and finished his day on 6 Over Par.
David B had an up and down round as he picked up a Birdie but then dropped a Double Bogey and a Bogey in the first nine holes. He the played regulation golf till the last hole where he picked up another Birdie to take him to 1 Over Par
David R had a similar round to his namesake except he picked up 3 Birdies on the front nine as well as 2 Double Bogeys. Steady play and a Birdie at the last took his score to a Par round of 70
Jens suffered a little as his was a real mixed bag as overall he dropped4 Double Bogeys but that was alongside 4 Birdies and a lovely Hole in One which brought him back to 2 Over Par
Gavin did not find the course too easy as he dropped a Double Bogey and 2 Bogeys on the front nine but he also had a Birdie. His back nine was better with 2 Birdies on the last 2 holes to finish his day on 1 Over Par
Mark had some good play and some bad. He dropped 3 Double Bogeys in a row on the front nine but he also grabbed 2 Birdies. He steadied himself to grab another Birdie but that was it as he finished on 3 Over Par for the day.
Matthew did not get to grip with the front nine as he dropped 2 Double Bogeys after picking up a solitary Birdie. He improved on the back nine as he went error free to finish his round on 3 Over Par.
Kyle also did not like his first nine holes as he dropped 2 Double Bogeys amongst Par holes. His back nine was better as he picked up a solitary Birdie to bring his score back to 3 Over Par
Mike started well enough with 2 Birdies but then spoilt the front nine with 2 Double Bogeys. He was then steady till the last hole where he picked up a Birdie to card a score of 72 and 1 Over Par.
Chew had a steady round although he did drop a Double Bogey on the front nine but he also had a Birdie. He picked up another Birdie on the back nine which brought him level and he finished with 71 and a Par score
Vin also had a pretty solid round although he dropped 2 Double Bogeys on the front nine. That was offset by picking up 4 Birdies on his round and a wonderful Hole in One which took his score to 69 and 2 Under Par. The first of the day.
Stephane quickly followed suit as he also dropped a Double Bogey but brought it back with a Birdie on the back nine and one on the front nine. He also picked up a lovely Hole in One on the front nine to finish on 69 and 2 Under Par
Marvin had a steady round which produced a Double Bogey and a Birdie on the front nine. His back nine was better with solid golf and another Birdie which took him to 71 and Level Par.
Eduardo struggled on the front nine as he picked up a Birdie but then dropped 2 Double Bogeys. He was solid from there and picked up another Birdie on the back nine but finished on 2 Over Par for the day.
Sheri was favourite but struggled to get going as she dropped 2 Double Bogeys but just before that grabbed a lovely Eagle. Her worries continued as she dropped another stroke on the back nine but picked up a Birdie as well. Her card was 73 and 2 Over Par.
Thomas had a lot of colour in his round as he grabbed himself a lovely Hole in One but then dropped 2 Double Bogeys. His back nine contained another Double Bogey and a Bogey but he amazingly picked up another wonderful Hole in One 3 Over Par but the first anyone has had a Double Ace on their round.
John started pretty well as he picked up 2 Birdies on the front nine but then dropped a Double Bogey. He then went 10 holes with no mistakes and picked up another Birdie to finish on70 and 1 Under Par.
Alan did not cope with the course for the most part as he dropped a Double Bogey and a Bogey on the front nine. He dropped 2 more Bogeys on the back nine to finish on a score of 76 and 5 Over Par
The final group was a pairing as Kaiko was absent from this round as he did not return a scorecard.
Jorge led out the final pairing as he started pretty well with a couple of Birdies. He then picked up a nice Hole in One but instantly gave it back with a Double Bogey and a Bogey. His back nine was level par as he finished on 70 and 1 Under Par.
Roy struggled to get going as he dropped 2 Double Bogeys on the front nine. He steadied himself as he picked up a Birdie on the back nine but finished on a score of 74 and 3 Over Par.
On a day when there were a number of Hole in Ones but not good scoring overall, the Day 2 Leader Board was now starting to open up some gaps although still pretty close at the top
