Practice Sessions & Qualy could have a small effect on the car in terms of wear. For Qualy, this wear could further depend on the Q risks used.
Gives a small extra managment touch to P & Q events.

Good idea. Also we must have option to kick competitors out of track for some acceptable cash. Or make another 100 test laps for just 1m and same wear....Let's go for it! Good idea!

Wear will be almost insignificant in any case. Something like 0.something points per Practice lap. As for Qualy, Push the car to the limits could wear the car as if using very 100CT risks for 1 lap

Actually I´m with you that we need to get some drastic change that requires some new thinking to how we play, but this would not be the most popular i think. New tyre type has been discussed, (intermediates) and I would favour that.

Bad idea I think.what I think they should do with qualifying is charge everyone something like 5 mill at the start of the season so all practice and q1 and q2 are paid for if u use them or not

No, but i think drivers should risk a crash and set a very poor lap time if too much risk is used compared to driver skills (way more than the current dm anyway).

Wear is never insignificant. Whether it's 1% or 0.1%, additional car wear is a very very big deal. And if you don't understand why think about it.

He pointed out the sentence that ruins the whole idea, which is the most effective way of using the quote button imo.

I don't see the point in having wear for Practice and Qualifying, as the people most harmed by this are the people lower down the GPRO pyramid. The only way this could work is if it only appiled to quaifying laps and was based on qualifying risks (but even then, it still wouldn't be very useful)
Also, why are the options in German?

Car wear for practice laps? Come on mate get our heads up, there's a recession on don't ya know. We're already paying 50k per lap, pro-rata that & it's like a 100 lap test session that costs 5m, & now car wear on top? Maniac :)

So the suggestion is based on a mistaken hypothesis.
As Sion says, wear is significant. How do you propose to work out a perfect set up if it changes every lap? :)
Implementing your suggestion would be a massive advantage for those that can already do that without practice laps over new players who will find it much harder to work out the same thing.

there are teams that have calculators that give a perfect setup with the click of a button, so this idea just puts new players and teams without calculators at a disadvantage.
